The Snowman
Director: Tomas Alfredson
Screenwriter: Hossein Amini, Peter Straughan
Cast: Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer, Toby Jones, David Dencik, James D’Arcy, J.K. Simmons
Distributor: Universal Pictures
Rated R | 119 Minutes
Release Date: October 20, 2017 A good mystery thriller has us on the edge of our seats and has us convinced we know who the criminal is at some point in the movie only to realize it wasn’t who we thought it was. It builds upon itself with great characters giving more than terrific performances. And it has a story that keeps us engaged for the entire duration. But Tomas Alfredson‘s adaptation of Jo Nesbø‘s The Snowman is anything but the aforementioned qualities. It is sporadic, horribly paced, and lacks any sort of structure. Instead, we are given a fairly predictable film that feels like it was just piled on top of each other trying to pass itself off as a decent movie. My full review below.

The movie features never before seen behind the scenes footage of Carrey on the set of Man on the Moon, in which he played his idol Andy Kaufman and often stayed in character even when not filming. | Trailer For ‘Star Wars: Battlefront II’ Single-Player Campaign Released
A new trailer has been released for Star Wars: Battlefront II. The new trailer focuses on something the first game did not have, a single-player campaign, which follows Commander Iden Versio (played by Janina Gavankar). With the unsettling news that EA has decided to close Dead Space developer Visceral Games, and “pivot the design” of the much-anticipated single-player Star Wars game they were working on, the hopes of many of us who aren’t content will multiplayer alone lie only with this Battlefront II campaign. If it’s not surprisingly good, we’ll all be very, very sad. On that slightly depressing note, continue below to read more about the game and watch the trailer.
