HVFF: Where Heroes & Villains Feel Like Family

Between my full time day job, my children (aka the best kids in America), and the lack of extra spending money, I don’t get to go to conventions that often. I go to NYCC, but end up planting myself in a hall that doesn’t clear out after each panel (damn you main stage), furiously writing and posting everything I can for Geeks of Doom. My husband got us VIP tickets for Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Secaucus, NJ this weekend, and I didn’t know what to expect. I knew the event was more focused, targeting a specific fan – lovers of comic books and comic-based shows. Even more specific – fans of The CW’s hit show Arrow, with Gotham, Heroes, The Flash, Comic Book Men, Agent Carter, Legends of Tomorrow, and wrestling mixed in.

With fans already pumped about the event and the shows, they became even more excited when Clark Gregg appeared on stage. At that point, the crowd’s chants of “Carter! Carter!†changed to “Coulson! Coulson!â€

Disney In Depth: ABC’s Stellar New Primetime Schedule

The Alphabet Network shocked viewers with unexpected renewals and exciting series orders this past week. The future of ABC will rely on synergistic efforts, Shondaland programming, some traditional fare, and a great handful of risky offerings.
Count on the Muppets, diverse comedies, Marvel, experimental dramas, and Shonda Rhimes-infused dramas for what is sure to be a stellar 2015-2016 primetime schedule.

Marvel’s ‘Agent Carter’ Season Finale Sneak Peek (Video)

Tonight sees the season finale of Marvel‘s Agent Carter, one of my favorite shows on television! Marvel has release two sneak peek clips from this eighth and final episode of the first season, titled “Valediction,” which marks Howard Starks return and the completion of Agent Carter’s mission.
Watch both clips here below, along with a promo video for the season finale.
The first clip includes the return of Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), who’s able to bypass security so that he and Jarvis can easily walk right into the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) offices; the second clip involves a massacre at the movies courtesy of Doctor Fennhoff that Agent Carter (Hayley Atwell) and her fellow SSR agents go to investigate.

‘Agent Carter’ Premiere Extended To Two Hours

December is here, which means a lot of the shows you watch on TV is or will be on their winter breaks. Come January, these shows will either continue on with their season or will have been cancelled. Now there are also mid-season premieres to look forward to, one of which is Marvel’s Agent Carter. The show is based on the character played by Hayley Atwell, who first appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger, then the Marvel One Shot of the same name, which was followed by her appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Agent Carter would eventually be turned into a televised series, with ABC ordering eight episodes. Now it has been cut down to seven, because the network will turn the premiere into a two-hour event. Hit the jump for more.

Disney In Depth: ABC’s 5 Most Anticipated Upcoming Series

ABC has released details of its array of new shows premiering during the 2014-2015 television season. This warrants dissecting the most exciting series coming from the Alphabet Network. Next year promises a diversity of programs, in both the themes of the shows and the backgrounds of featured casts. Perhaps more than any other network, ABC’s new shows represent many races, nationalities, and life experiences. This is quite encouraging, considering how often TV depicts only certain populations.
The other clear winning formula in ABC’s schedule may be how many new dramas come from the ABC Studios production company. This could translate into more successes compared to this past season (only three new shows were renewed, two of them coming directly from ABC Studios), as networks tend to renew more shows that they actually own.
Here are ABC’s 5 Most Anticipated Upcoming Series.

The First Details For Marvel’s New ‘Agent Carter’ ABC TV Series Emerge

Back in September it was first reported that Marvel Studios had begun developing a new Agent Carter television series for ABC based on the seriously well-received One-Shot short film of the same name that first appeared on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray. Five months, later news broke that Reaper creators Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas had been hired to serve as both writers and executive producers on the latest expansion of the Marvel TV empire.
Recently – just in case some of you were beginning to wonder if this show was really happening – Marvel released the first details regarding Agent Carter‘s storyline, which will undoubtedly expand on the One-Shot.
