The usual, now traditional Assassin’s Creed game is still expected to be released later this year. But for the next release in the franchise, things will be a little bit different as can be seen in the announcement trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Chronicles.

The game will be released in three different parts, following three different assassins in three very different times and locations. The games won’t be similar to the usual big releases in the series, but closer to an arcade game with a sidescroller style to it.

Release dates have been locked in for a few upcoming movies by 20th Century Fox.

New dates have been penciled in for the Assassin’s Creed movie with Michael Fassbender still attached to star, Gambit which will star Channing Tatum, a sequel to the Fantastic Four reboot set to release later this year, and a new installment in the rebooted Planet of the Apes franchise.

20th Century Fox is shuffling around their release schedule, and also reserving release dates for other upcoming releases.

Most notably the studio has set an official release date for the long-awaited Deadpool movie, and they’ve also changed the changed the schedule for both their Fantastic Four reboot and the Ubisoft video game adaptation, Assassin’s Creed.

Another gameplay demo for the upcoming next-gen-only Assassin’s Creed Unity has been released by Ubisoft, which focuses on a cool new feature fans can look forward to.

We’ve already seen the new co-op gameplay in action, but this new demo offers a glimpse of a co-op heist mission can go down. Basically, heists let you and your friends infiltrate a restricted area to acquire artifacts and treasure, and then try to escape unseen. The more silent and undetected you are whilst attempting the heist, the more you can make off with.

It’s been rumored for a while that Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed strategy for the ongoing transition from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 of the last generation of gaming consoles to the next-gen Xbox One and PS4 consoles was to release two separate titles this year instead of one on all consoles, like we saw in last year’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

We’ve already seen some impressive peeks at the gamemaker’s next-gen title, Assassin’s Creed Unity, at E3 2014, and now the last-gen title has been officially revealed as Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
