The MPAA has given out its rating to The Dark Knight Rises, the third and final Batman film from Christopher Nolan, and that rating is PG-13.

Now, what does this all mean? Not a whole lot considering the fact that both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were both released with a PG-13 rating. Both are dark and violent without being overtly dark and violent for the sake of being dark and violent. Does that make sense? Anyway, the only real notable things about this rating are the reasons that are listed for its rating. In The Dark Knight Rises‘ rating description, it lists: intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language. So, let’s look at this.

In the past, I’ve combed over any and every Batman-related thing that’s come across my path to try and figure out what the secrets are that lie behind what we see at face value. It’s a little something that I like to call a “Bat-Analysis” and most of those items have had something to do with The Dark Knight Rises. So, it’s without question that I would approach the new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises with the same mentality. I read a lot of Batman comics and have immersed myself within the content regarding the character, so how could I not? The only problem is, it’s nearly impossible to do that with this trailer. But nonetheless, I present to you my Bat Analysis of The Dark Knight Rises trailer.
