
The MPAA has given out its rating to The Dark Knight Rises, the third and final Batman film from Christopher Nolan, and that rating is PG-13.
Now, what does this all mean? Not a whole lot considering the fact that both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were both released with a PG-13 rating. Both are dark and violent without being overtly dark and violent for the sake of being dark and violent. Does that make sense? Anyway, the only real notable things about this rating are the reasons that are listed for its rating. In The Dark Knight Rises‘ rating description, it lists: intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language. So, let’s look at this.
