A brand new video for the SCI FI channel’s upcoming Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica has been released and it is interesting, to say the least.

The clip basically shows Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) being lead through a club and getting a little information out of a young girl. The club seems to be the type where all sexual inhibitions are left at the door, unless you’re there to brawl, which is always welcomed as well.

For those who don’t know, Caprica will be set 50 years before the Galactica that we all know. It tells the story of two families, the Adamas and the Graystones, who are at conflict with one another over the discovery of what eventually becomes the Cylons. The Adamas are lead by Joseph Adama (Esai Morales) — father of BSG‘s Admiral Bill Adama — and the Graystones by Stoltz’s Daniel. You can only imagine which family may have helped set the Cylons on their merry way.

Amazon’s spotlight deal of the day is Stargate SG-1 – The Complete Series Collection on sale while supplies last today for only $99 (reduced 70% from $329.98).

This is a 54-disc set with all ten seasons of the scifi series, with four of those discs being hours’ worth of bonus features like commentaries, video diaries, behind-the-scenes footage, and much more.

Also on sale today in the TV deals of the day is Battlestar Galactica Franchise Collection for $99 (originally $234.90). This item has been on sale all week, but the price has been further reduced to make it a 57% discount.

The collections comes with the box sets for Season One, Season 2.0, Season 2.5, and Season 3.0, as well as the TV movie BSG Razor, and is being offered exclusively through Amazon.

The SCI FI Channel has premiered the first webisode of Season 4 of their series Battlestar Galatica.

This webisode, “The Face of the Enemy,” begins nine days after the discovery of a devastated Earth, then flashes back three days as the recovering Lt. Felix Gaeta tries to get some rest off the Galactica, but hits an unexpected detour. We also learn something new apparently about the lieutenant in a split-second scene, so don’t blink or you’ll miss it (no seriously, I know people who did).

The debut webisode is the first of a planned 10 webisodes that will bridge the gap between Season 4’s episode 12 and upcoming episode 13. Episode 12 aired seven months ago, then the series went on hiatus; Episode 13 continues the season on January 16, 2009.
