Being a Whovian that is also the co-host of Geeks Of Doom’s TARDISblend podcast, I’m a little picky and particular about my Doctor Who stuff. But I can say, without a doubt, that Titan Comics’ opening salvo for their Doctor Who: Ninth Doctor comic book series is a good shot. First up, you have the Christopher Eccleston Doctor, in all his grumpy glory, with his adorable companion Rose Tyler who is still softening up his hardened Time War scars. However, what makes this book special is Captain Jack.

| ‘Doctor Who’ LEGO Set Coming In 2015
Doctor Who and LEGO, together forever! When you think of the crossover appeal, it seems like a no-brainer. Children have probably been putting down LEGO blocks to turn on the television and watch Doctor Who for decades now. Yet there never was an official set that let kids assemble the Doctor, the companions, the TARDIS, and the monsters to play with in the LEGO make believe worlds. Until now, that is. LEGO announced this week that Doctor Who will be subject of their next LEGO Ideas set. The idea for the set was submitted by Who fan Andrew Clark, an artist at a game design company by day and devoted LEGObuilder at night. Final design, pricing, and availability of the set is yet to be announced.

| ‘Doctor Who’ To Stay On Netflix; Most BBC Series Will Remain
It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Netflix users who are also fans of BBC shows. Word leaked out a little over a week ago that the contract between Netflix and the BBC to carry popular shows like Doctor Who, Luther, Black Adder, Sherlock, and Red Dwarf was up for renewal on February 1, 2015, but the two sides had not yet reached a deal! If the two sides did not come to terms, then Netflix would no longer carry BBC content after the end of this month. More than one article appeared on web sites warning everyone to “get that last bit of binge watching in now!” The issue is now settled, with most BBC content, including Doctor Who, remaining on Netflix, according to THR.

| Robot Orchestra Performs ‘Doctor Who’ Theme (Video)
For this year’s Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, broadcast on BBC Four, Professor Danielle George used simple motors to construct a robot orchestra that then performed the theme song to Doctor Who. Watch the robot orchestra, comprised of 15 robotic musicians from across Europe, along with human musicians, perform the Doctor Who theme for the 2014 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures.
