| Watch Now: Big Daddy vs Batman |
|
Nicolas Cage, who stars as Big Daddy in Kick-Ass, made an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno this week to promote his new superhero action film, which opens in theaters today. In Kick-Ass, which is based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., Cage’s Big Daddy is a Batman-type superhero out for justice while plotting revenge on a mob boss. His costume and gadgets all scream ‘Batman’ as does his motivations, but Big Daddy is a lot more violent and unforgiving than the Caped Crusader, as evidenced by the clip from the film that was shown on The Tonight Show. For Cage’s appearance on the late night talk show, host Jay Leno decided to test the actor’s knowledge on Batman by going beyond just asking him trivia questions. Instead, he had Adam West, who played Batman on the 1960’s television series Batman, come out to play against him! Now, Cage is known for his love of comics and superheros, but can he really beat Batman in a Batman trivia contest? Find out in this video below from the trivia segment, which also includes the aforementioned clip from the film.

| Game Review: ‘Bioshock 2’ Xbox 360 |
|
Bioshock 2
Platform: Xbox 360
Developer: 2K Games
Publisher: 2K Games
Release Date: February 9, 2010 The opening of 2007’s Bioshock is one of the best — if not THE best — introductions to a video game we’ve ever seen. Crashing into the ocean, swimming to a mysterious nearby lighthouse, progressing cautiously as you put yourself into the game and wonder where you are. And then, to have your mini-adventure into the city of Rapture viciously halted by the cruel realization that you are not in a friendly place…it was all just so amazing and unforgettable, and there was still twenty great hours of gameplay to come! The first game was so good that many fans felt that a Bioshock 2 was completely unnecessary, but we were told that one was on the way nevertheless. For me personally, this was fantastic news, and I’ve been excited and anxiously awaiting its arrival. See, when it comes to video games, they’re a platform of entertainment that is perfect for sequels. Yes, a second, third, or fourth game may not be as good as that original, but that doesn’t matter here; games all have to be their own creature. Whether you love or hate Bioshock 2, the original will still always be there to play; but if you love it, then that’s all the more time you get to hang out in that crazy world of Rapture. For me personally, I loved my second visit to the city hidden under the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, and I hope that I get to go there many more times in the future. | Full ‘Kick-Ass’ Green Band Trailer Allows All Ages To See How Awesome It Looks |
|
A brand new trailer for Matthew Vaughn‘s Kick-Ass has been released, and it is of the Green Band variety. For those who don’t know: Green Band trailers are the safe-for-all-audiences trailers that you usually see in theaters. We have seen a teaser trailer that was fine for all to see and we’ve seen the graphic Red Band trailer that showcased the film’s R-rated content, and now comes the full-length trailer that kids of all ages (who won’t be able to see the movie when it comes out) can watch as many times as they wish! While it’s the mercilessly graphic content of the adult-aimed trailer that really gets me giggly-giddy for how insanely fun this movie is going to be, this new trailer is probably the best to watch if you’re not familiar with the movie. It’s the best one yet when it comes to setting the film up and showing off its characters and just giving you an overall feel of what to expect — most likely so you can go in and get shocked by all of the stuff you didn’t expect. Continue on reading to check out the new trailer and read the film’s synopsis if you have not already done so.

| World Of ‘BioShock’ Brought To Life In Very Cool Photo Shoot |
|
The feature film adaptation of instant classic video game BioShock has been in and out of the news multiple times with the hiring of Gore Verbinski to direct, and then followed by his unfortunate departure and the announcement that Juan Carlos Fresnadillo would be taking his place. Until we finally get to see what amazing or abominable paths they take with that live-action movie, we could once only imagine what a living and breathing Rapture might look like. Well, thankfully there’s some pretty talented artists out there on our planet and one of them, named Harrison Krix, has done a damn fine job in helping to show us this real BioShock. Krix and his Volpin Props (Head here to see a bunch of amazingly detailed props) created a fantastic replication of a Big Daddy, added a Little Sister, and brought them to Dragon*Con. While that was all well and fun, it wasn’t enough, and they went ahead and set up an arrangement to shoot some photographs with Dim Horizons at the Georgia Aquarium. Once they were finally able to get in for the shoot, the result was a very cool set of images of the Big Daddy and Little Sister in a tunnel surrounded by water and ocean life resembling the dark world of Rapture. Click over to the other side to take a peek at some of these BioShock photographs. You can head over to the respective sites for more images. Also added below is a video from Dragon*Con where you can see the Big Daddy’s drill in action.
