| BioWare Says ‘Mass Effect 3’ On PC Will Not Support Use Of Controllers
I’m a console gamer, through and through. I’m aware of how much more powerful and smooth PC games are, but playing with one hand on a keyboard and one on a mouse is irredeemably annoying and uncomfortable for me personally. The one and only way you may one day see me trying out PC gaming is if I used a console controller, and with consoles likely inching ever closer and closer to being computers themselves, that’s not happening any time soon. But for anyone who prefers PC gaming with a controller over the traditional keyboard and mouse set up, Mass Effect 3 might not be quite as exciting as it once was to those of you who were looking forward to playing it. On the BioWare forums, it was revealed that the PC version of the game will NOT support controllers. They still might work in some cases, but they won’t be supported by the game.

| Dark Horse Comics Announces New BioWare ‘Dragon Age’ Series
Dark Horse Comics announced on this week that they will be teaming with video game giants BioWare to publish a brand new comic book series based off the hugely popular Dragon Age franchise. The most interesting thing about the new 6-issue limited series is that it will be written by the lead writer of the Dragon Age video games, David Gaider. So, instead of feeling just like an ordinary adaptation or another author’s interpretation of the story, the comic will take Dragon Age fans further into the mythos of the RPG series.

| Geek Discussion: Is The ‘Mass Effect’ Movie Doomed Already?
A movie adaptation of the mega–hit BioWare video game franchise, Mass Effect, is still in the very early stages of development, but already basic details are being shared that are pretty interesting and potentially unsettling. Last we had heard, the project would be making an appearance at this past San Diego Comic–Con with BioWare’s Casey Hudson and screenwriter Mark Protosevich, but because it was so early, not much was shared. Not that it appeared, anyway. As it turns out, Legendary Pictures, the studio behind the planned movie, actually answered a few questions that fans were asking via the Twitter on their website. And a couple of their answers could have fans unsure of what’s to come. Continue reading to see the Q&A and to chime in below with your thoughts on the Mass Effect movie!

| BioWare Says ‘Mass Effect’ Will Continue, But Without Commander Shepard
The Mass Effect trilogy is an incredible video game achievement (assuming you’re assuming that Mass Effect 3 will be as insanely good as everyone else is assuming it will be), but it doesn’t end with the third game in the series, which is set to hit shelves on March 6, 2012. Speaking to PC Gamer at Gamescom recently, BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka talked about the continuation of the series after Mass Effect 3. When asked if this was the end, Muzyka said “Not at all, no. We have ambitious plans to continue this franchise going forward. Mass Effect 3 is simultaneously a couple of different things: a thrilling and epic conclusion to the trilogy as we promised our fans we’d provide for Commander Shepard, but it’s also a brand new beginning – it’s an entry point for new fans and it’s also a brand new beginning.”

| BioWare Aiming To Combine The Best Of Two Worlds For ‘Dragon Age 3’ |

If there’s one thing that Mass Effect and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game studio BioWare doesn’t get enough credit for, it’s taking what their fans say to heart, and using that feedback to try and improve future installments of their various franchises. This commendable effort doesn’t always pay off, however, as was the case with Dragon Age 2, the follow–up to their awesome fantasy title, Dragon Age: Origins. While the game had a lot of positives to offer and was still a solid play, some things were just too distracting to ignore, such as a mind–boggling amount of recycled locations and a combat system that “evolved” from strategic and satisfying to an chaotic mess of button–mashing madness (if you were a warrior, anyway). When it comes to Dragon Age 3, the game isn’t even officially announced yet, but that’s not stopping BioWare from planning ahead and figuring how to make it the best in the series.
