| Kevin Feige Explains Taking Captain Marvel Out Of ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Ending
Last night, Marvel and Disney held an event to celebrate the upcoming Blu-ray/DVD release of Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and producer Jeremy Latchem were on site to help commemorate the moment as well as participate in Q & A where they talked about the film and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Among the many questions that were asked, one was what happened to Captain Marvel. As some of you may know, director Joss Whedon originally wanted to have her and Spider-Man make an appearance in the film – albeit a cameo. It didn’t pan out as Whedon hoped, as Feige opted to tell a fully fleshed out story as a way to introduce the character into the MCU. And now he is talking about what happened. | Rumor: Marvel Wants Rebecca Ferguson To Be Their ‘Captain Marvel’
The latest name to enter the competition for the coveted title role in Marvel Studios’ first female-fronted superhero adventure Captain Marvel is an unexpected cause for surprise, but a damn great choice if it turns out to be true. According to Heroic Hollywood’s Umberto Gonzalez, Rebecca Ferguson, the Swedish actress who starred as Queen Elizabeth in the acclaimed 2013 Starz miniseries The White Queen and impressed audiences all around the world as the conflicted British spy Ilsa Faust in this summer’s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, is rumored to be in contention for the role of the galactic superheroine also known by her Earthbound alter ego Carol Danvers.

| Joss Whedon Wanted Spider-Man and Captain Marvel In ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’
When Sony made the deal to share Spider-Man with Marvel many had hoped that he would be added to a post or mid-credit scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron. It may have been a possibility considering director Joss Whedon famously shot a post-credit scene on the film’s press day. But the deal said that he would make his first MCU appearance next year, possibly in Captain America: Civil War. The film’s release also confirmed that there wasn’t an extra scene after the credits, and that Spider-Man wasn’t in it. However, Whedon really wanted to have the Webslinger in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and also wanted to have Captain Marvel in it too. See what he had to say below.
