Snoke Star Wars The Force Awakens

When we last saw Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he ordered General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) to go fetch Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) so that he may train him in the Dark Side of the Force. At the time, we only saw him in a holographic form, leaving his true look a mystery. But Star Wars: The Last Jedi will give us a first look at the real Snoke, and Praetorian Guard, the royal guard who are assigned to protect him. More on the story below, along with new images from the upcoming film.

Star Wars The Last Jedi image 01

For the past few D23 Expos, Lucasfilm has had at least one Star Wars thing to show attendees. So following the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars: Story, everyone was eagerly awaiting to see some brand new footage from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The Rian Johnson film has been on everyone’s minds since the first trailer popped up at Star Wars Celebration earlier this year. Many are wondering what the title means and if Luke really wants the Jedi Order to end. At the D23 today, the Lucasfilm portion of the live-action panel provided some answers. Check them out below.

Adam Driver as Kylo Ren

Of course with a title like that, one might misinterpret the meaning of it. But the reality of it all is, Adam Driver‘s approach to Kylo Ren is so deep that his fellow Star Wars: The Last Jedi castmates are literally hugging the Dark Side out of him. Perhaps, he’s even taking things a bit too personally with this role. But whatever he’s doing, it sure is surprising everyone on set. Which might have some great results in the end. It sure worked out in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Now the actor is revealing his take on the character and the effort he puts into playing Kylo Ren. Find out more on this story below.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Vanity Fair header

Because of the way Lucasfilm and Disney have planned out Star Wars films, we are going to be getting a new one every year for the foreseeable future. On the odd years, we’ll be getting saga films, and on the even years, there will be the Star Wars Story movies. And the person guiding it all is Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, who has been running the production company since it was acquired by Disney back in 2012. Basically, she’s the person to go to if you want to know anything regarding the new films – of course, that all depends on if you can get an answer out of her.

As a part of their coverage on Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Vanity Fair talked to Kennedy about the late Carrie Fisher’s passing, the future of the franchise, and if they will continue the saga beyond Episode IX. More on all of that below.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

In the past week, we’ve seen a handful of new images of the cast in costume and learned a lot about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. From new characters and locations to motivations and drives, the film is setting itself up to be one of the most exciting of 2017. But as much as we learned about the film this week, there’s more information coming out.

One of the things everyone is dying to know is the meaning of the title. As Luke Skywalker so ominously put it towards the end of the first trailer, “It’s time to bring the Jedi to an end.” Is he referring to himself, to Rey, or the entire Order? It’s not likely we’ll get answers, but director Rian Johnson and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy can provide vague answers. More on the story below.
