Thor Ragnarok

During this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the Marvel Studios’ panel had a Thor presentation full of concept art briefly showing the world outside of Earth and Asgard. We know that a large chunk of the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok will take place outside of Earth and will also be a buddy film that sees Thor and Hulk traveling the cosmos to fight Hela (Cate Blanchett), the Asgardian god of death.

But before that presentation, the studio kindly showed us a hilarious mockumentary that followed what Thor did while Captain America and Iron Man were recruiting and fighting each other in Captain America: Civil War. Most of the time, any footage shown at these presentations is reserved for those who attended the event. But now just in time to celebrate the release of Captain America: Civil War on Blu-ray and Digital HD, the studio has released that video. So for a few laughs, check out the video here below.

Thor: Ragnarok Logo

Yesterday, we saw a couple of set photos from Thor: Ragnarok that showed Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston as Thor and Loki, respectively, dressed in civilian clothing. One photo saw the Asgardian god of thunder holding a card with the street address that read “177A Bleecker St.” The photos indicate that our two favorite demigods have found themselves in New York for some reason, and it appears that they won’t be alone.

Spoilers are ahead, unless you’ve already figured out who it is based on the headline. Check out who has joined Hemsworth and Hiddleston on the set of Thor: Ragnarok, below.

Thor: Ragnarok Logo

Avant-garde musician Mark Mothersbaugh became an icon of 1980’s rock when he helped found the offbeat band Devo and he has composed original music scores for over 170 films and television shows. He’s long been the go-to music man for directors such as Wes Anderson and the team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and now it looks he’ll be bringing his particular brand of quirky, energetic movie melodies to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Mothersbaugh has been hired to provide the score for next year’s Thor: Ragnarok, which is currently filming in Australia under director Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows). Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, respectively, are returning as the heroic, hammer-wielding God of Thunder and his villainous brother Loki.

Thor: Ragnarok Logo

Cameos are common to see in a Marvel Studios film. Sometimes they appear at the end of a standalone film acting as a bridge to connect to future MCU movie and other times they can be silly cameos like Loki transforming into Captain America just for giggles. But the latest photo from the set of Thor: Ragnarok seems to be a little bit strange, with the emphasis on strange. There appears to be a card of some sort that’s either just a silly nod to Doctor Strange or it has a deeper meaning. What could it be, and what are the contents of this card? Check it out here below.

These set photos, which show Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, are unique in that they were authorized and were posted by director Hemsworth, director Taika Waititi, and Daley Pearson.

Chris Hemsworth in Star Trek

Star Trek Beyond hits theaters this weekend and will make its big outdoor IMAX debut at the San Diego Comic-Con. As exciting as that sounds, it’s no surprise that Paramount Pictures would take this time to announced that there will be another sequel. It shows just how confident they are in Justin Lin‘s film. While we can speculate what happens in the sequel, the studio has confirmed that Chris Hemsworth will return to reprise his role as George Kirk, who was temporary captain of the doomed ship that was destroyed in the 2009 reboot, Star Trek.

More on the Star Trek 4 news here below.
