I just found out about this so I will make it brief:

Today, starting at 10AM PST / 1PM EST / 6 PM UK time, take to Twitter and post with the hashtags #Constantine and #SaveConstantine if you enjoy the NBC television series featuring the DC Comics/Vertigo comic book character from Hellblazer and want it to return.

The show’s writers will be having a meeting with NBC this afternoon, and they want to show the executives that #Constantine is trending on Twitter and that the fans want Constantine to be renewed for a second season!!!

DC Comics JLA by Bryan Hitch banner

When DC Comics launched what they called “the New 52” back in 2011, their plan was to publish 52 ongoing series on a monthly basis, while tightening up their shared universe and updating it for modern readers. The plan largely worked at first, at least in terms of getting readers back and excited to read DC comics.

Today, DC has altered that plan, announcing that they will be reducing their number of releases to 49, with 24 new or rebranded titles on the way that will be replacing some of their current ones, while keeping 25 existing series. There will also be some changes to creative teams on some of these books.

See below for all the details from DC’s announcement about the post-New 52 slate, including the full list and creative team for all 49 titles, as well as some new artwork.

Justice League Dark John Constantine

Back in November, Guillermo del Toro submitted his script to Warner Bros. for a Justice League Dark movie, based on the DC Comics series. The movie, with the working title Dark Universe, will center on the more supernatural/occult-oriented characters of the DC universe. So far, we know that Del Toro had plans to make a blond version of John Constantine the lead character and that the Demon in the story will be Jason Blood, who was one of the Knights of King Arthur. The filmmaker had also said that the origins of the team would be uncovered throughout the film, as opposed to all at the beginning, and that “it’s a very different universe.”

There’s been a lot of talk about which characters would appear in the film, but now Latino Review’s El Mayimbe has the scoop on exactly who the members of the Justice League Dark team will be.

Constantine NBC Warner Bros. Banner

Saturday night at New York Comic-Con, fans got another chance to watch the Constantine TV pilot, Episode 1.1 “Non Est Asylum,” in Empire Stage 1-E. Based on the DC Comics character from Hellblazer (DC’s Vertigo imprint) then Constantine series, John Constantine is an exorcist, demonologist, and master of the dark arts (or petty dabbler as Constantine would say). His soul is damned to hell with no hope for redemption (or is there?).

After the viewing of the pilot (which we talked about here — full review to come), there was a short audience Q&A with writer David S. Goyer and stars Matt Ryan (Constantine) and Angelica Celaya (Zed), which got right to the heart of it.

Constantine NBC Warner Bros. Banner

The WB had a big night on Thursday at the 2014 New York Comic-Con. It was the last event of the night, and fans showed no signs of slowing down.

Constantine was the last premiere and it was worth the wait. Running later than expected (because of a surprise screening of The Flash), security looked a little bit impatient, but still happy for fans.
