A sequel to the hit real-time strategy game Halo Wars from 343 Industries and Creative Assembly was announced during E3 2016. The original game came out in 2009, so fans have been anxiously awaiting the follow-up for quite some time now.

The existence of Halo Wars 2 was confirmed with a cinematic trailer, and a second trailer was also released for the multiplayer beta, which is going on right this very moment.

The highly anticipated Alien: Isolation is set to be released on October 7th, and if you’ve missed all of the intense looks at the game we’ve seen so far you can head right here to check them out.

A new video for the game has been released showing off the Survivor Mode, which will let players attempt certain things with various objectives/options, log a score, and then see how they stack up against other players.

We’ve already seen more than enough to be excessively excited about Alien: Isolation, but some of the team from developer Creative Assembly paid a visit to E3 2014 to show off some new gameplay goodness to help you maintain maximum excitement until the game is released on October 7th.

From the start, one of the big selling points of the game was that it was not your typical run-and-gun Alien game where you’d constantly be firing weapons at attacking Xenomorphs. Instead, the focus was on stealth and survival and avoiding the alien creature at all costs. But that doesn’t mean that Isolation is without combat completely, as you might have thought. In addition to the alien, there’s also other humans and the androids known as Synthetics—some of which will be helpful, others neutral, and some will be hostile, forcing you to defend yourself.

In the gameplay demo brought to E3, you’ll see a bit of the combat and weaponry you’ll have to fight off attackers or possibly try to deter the alien itself, as well as plenty of the stealth options players will be using. You can watch that video as well as a new trailer below.

Just a quick update on Alien: Isolation, the new video game based on Ridley Scott’s original 1979 horror classic of the same name that has fans growing more and more excited with each new peek.

The game’s Twitter account has announced an official release date for the game, which will hit store shelves later this year on October the 7th. So not only will we be getting a game that looks like it has the potential to permanently excise your body’s need for sleep, but we’ll also be getting it during the Halloween season. Perfect!

In January a new video game based on Ridley Scott’s original Alien was revealed, and very much looks like the one fans of the movies and video games have been waiting for.

The game, titled Alien: Isolation, is not set for release until late this year, but to hold us over some developer diaries have been released. The newest one is titled “Creating the Alien,” and discusses what went into faithfully recreating such an iconic creature.
