Magnolia Pictures has released a trailer for Please Stand By, which stars Dakota Fanning, Toni Collette, Alice Eve, and Patton Oswalt.

The movie tells the story of a young autistic woman who’s on a mission to deliver her 500-page Star Trek script to a writing competition. You can read the full description and watch the trailer below.

The next short experimental film from District 9, Elysium, and Chappie director Neill Blomkamp‘s Oats Studios project, titled “Zygote,” has been released.

The short is the third part that’s been released so far in Volume 1, and stars Dakota Fanning and Jose Pablo Cantillo. If you dig what Oats Studios is doing, you can, much like with a video game, purchase DLC related to the shorts, which if successful enough will lead to a Volume 2 of these types of short films.

That’s the image we are seeing in the new photo for Ocean’s 8 starring Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, the sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney) of the Ocean’s Trilogy, and her entire crew.

Warner Bros. has revealed our first look at Johnny Depp as Whitey Bulger in director Scott Cooper‘s Black Mass. Bulger is the notorious South Boston gangster who spent 16 years at large until he was found hiding in Santa Monica, CA in 2011. He was then convicted of 31 of 32 counts of racketeering, money laundering, extortion, and weapons charges, including his complicity in 19 murders. Jack Nicholson’s character Frank Costello in Martin Scorsese’s The Departed is loosely based on Bulger’s criminal career.

Cooper’s new film will bring the life and crimes of Bulger to the big screen, while also covering his being an FBI informant tasked with providing intel to bring down the Italian Mafia. As you can see, based on the header photo, Depp is playing someone who is the polar opposite of Captain Jack Sparrow or one of those Tim Burton characters. Hit the jump for more.

Australian actor Errol Flynn is a legend of the silver screen—best known for swashbuckling adventure movies such as Captain Blood and The Adventures of Robin Hood—whose years of substance abuse ultimately led to an untimely demise.

In the movie The Last of Robin Hood, Academy Award winner Kevin Kline plays Flynn in his later years and follows his relationship with a young actress (played by Dakota Fanning), as well as her fame-hungry mother (Susan Sarandon).
