| How ‘Rick and Morty’ Became A TV Show (Video)
Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty from Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon is one of the best animated series on TV today, without a doubt. It’s a science fiction comedy that’s fat-trimming funny, but will sock you in the gut with something emotional out of nowhere from time to time and be back to the laughs before you’ve had time to recover. When it comes to a show like this we don’t always think about how it was born, the path that it traveled to become a real thing that we look forward to watching when it’s on. YouTube channel The Court of Source was just created late last month, and only has three videos uploaded so far. But in their latest video, which is set to pass an impressive 300,000 views, they offer the story of how Rick and Morty came to be for any fans interested in knowing it. | ‘Community’ Season 6 Is Happening After All
Fans of the hit sitcom Community were pretty bummed out when the show was canceled recently after five seasons, significantly damaging hope for “six seasons and a movie.” But these days being canceled isn’t necessarily a death sentence. With the rise of streaming media, other options exist. The hope that a company like Netflix or Hulu or Amazon will resurrect a dead series for their streaming service means faithful fans always have a little spark of hope. | Hulu May Be ‘Community’s Last Chance For A Sixth Season
The term “six seasons and a movie” was originally coined by Abed (Danny Pudi) on Dan Harmon‘s TV comedy Community. And throughout its struggles of Chevy Chase and Donald Glover leaving, Harmon being kicked out for only a season, and ratings decline, somehow Community was able to last five seasons, which is far more than anyone would think. However, NBC decided not to renew the cult sitcom for another season, and thus fans’ hopes of seeing the “six seasons and a movie” were crushed. To make matters worse, those same fans had hoped the comedy series would be revived on Netflix, only to find out the online network didn’t have the rights to pick it up. Now a glimmer of hope has emerged, as Hulu is in the running to bring the show back for its sixth season.
