| DeLorean: ‘Back To The Future’ Car Back In Production Over 30 Years Later
It’s been over 30 years since the last new DeLorean was built. Now it looks like the car that was made famous by the Back to the Future movies is heading back into production soon. The company went bankrupt due to a combination of lack of demand and owner John DeLorean being arrested for conspiring to smuggle millions of dollars worth of cocaine (a charge he was later acquitted of) into the United States. Businessman Stephen Wynne eventually purchased the company and moved it to Humble, Texas in 1987, where they’ve been restoring the cars for those who already own them or refurbishing them for sale to those who want to purchase one. Unfortunately for most of us, that costs way too much coin, and the finished product won’t take you back to hang out with dinosaurs if you so wished it. It wouldn’t even hover off the ground a few feet. In order to achieve the flying part, you can always do the remote controlled thing. But someone named Matthew Riese had an even better idea, a DeLorean hovercraft, and he showed off his idea in grand fashion. Check out a couple videos of the craft in action below.

| Watch Now: Someone Made A Flying ‘Back To The Future’ DeLorean
Ever wanted to see a real DeLorean flying through the air before it zips off through space and time to another decade, century, or millennia, just as it did at the end of Back to the Future and in Back to the Future II? Well, that’s probably difficult to pull off with a full-sized DeLorean considering we don’t yet have the flying car sci-fi movies have promised us, but it’s not stopping folks from making a scale model of the car and taking to the skies. As you’ll see in the video below, someone did just that and, along with the help of that famous Back to the Future music score, it’s almost just like the real thing. Sorta.
