Back at the beginning of April, an amazing short film called Pixels by Patrick Jean and Paris visual effects studio One More Productions was unleashed on the world. In the video, the classic video games of the ’80s invaded Earth in all of their pixelated glory and basically take over the world (Read: Atari Apocalypse: ‘Donkey Kong’ & Other Classic Arcade Games Invade New York In ‘Pixels’).
The short video spread like fire, making it one of the more popular videos we’ve seen in a long while. Adam Sandler and his Happy Madison Productions are developing the movie with Jean, and they’re out to Columbia Pictures to set the project up with the studio, which has a first-look deal with Madison.
