‘King Of Kong’s Billy Mitchell Banned By Twin Galaxies; ‘Donkey Kong’ and Other Scores Removed

If you’ve seen the 2007 documentary The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, you’re well aware of who Billy Mitchell is. He’s not an easy character to forget. The doc followed Steve Wiebe as he attempted to claim the all-time high score in Donkey Kong from Mitchell, who fought to prevent that from happening using some questionable tactics.
But now some of those questionable tactics have come back to haunt him. Twin Galaxies, the organization which regulates gaming world records, has decided to strip Mitchell of all of his scores and records, including Donkey Kong, and ban him. The decision was the result of an investigation which included the infamous video tape seen in King of Kong.

Nintendo To Release Mini NES Console With 30 Games This Year

Before they unveil their mysterious new console, code-named NX, Nintendo has announced something much more familiar. The gaming giant has revealed that they will be releasing a mini version of the classic original Nintendo Entertainment System later this year.

Classic Arcade Game Inspired ‘Pixels’ Posters Released Including Pac Man, Donkey Kong, More

Sony Pictures has released a collection of classic arcade game-themed posters, featuring Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Centipede, and Galaga, for their upcoming movie Pixels.

Geek Gear: Ghostbusters Invade Donkey Kong In ‘Donkey Puft’

The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel today is a mash-up of Donkey Kong and Ghostbusters called “Donkey Puft” by mikehandyart.
The shirt went on sale at RIPT today, Sunday, March 31, 2013, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.
