| ‘Hercules’ With Dwayne Johnson Gets A New TV Spot
Yet another TV spot that was premiered at the MTV Movie Awards, this one being for the Brett Ratner-directed new take on the legend of Hercules starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the lead role. The new Hercules includes some of the footage we saw in the first trailer, but there’s also some new shots in there to see as well. The movie will be released on July 25th and the video can be watched below.

The first trailer for Hercules, a revisionist take on the legend based on a Radical Comics title, has been released online. The movie stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the title role, and it is directed by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, Tower Heist). The movie also stars Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Aksel Hennie, and Reece Ritchie. Recently Dwayne Johnson met with executives at Warner Brothers about his potential involvement in a top secret DC Comics movie project that may go into production some time this year. According to an unnamed source for Latino Review that film could very well be the studio’s eternally gestating Justice League, which was originally supposed to be filming for a summer 2015 release before the lack of a decent script compelled the studio to shut down development and shift their resources over to a Man of Steel sequel that would have Superman (Henry Cavill) going head-to-head with Warners’ other big DC moneymaker Batman (Ben Affleck). The word is now going around Hollywood that both the doubly eponymous Batman vs. Superman (name subject to change) and Justice League will be filmed back-to-back and be released within a year of each other. Supposedly this is because the studio wants to capitalize as much as possible on the filming time they have with the busy Affleck, Cavill, and Johnson.

| Dwayne Johnson Meets With WB About DC Comics Project; Who Should He Play?
Recently Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was dubbed the top-grossing star of 2013 by Forbes, beating out Robert Downey Jr. for the top spot thanks to his relentless work ethic. Johnson starred in a number of movies—the biggest of which was Fast & Furious 6, which scored $789 million at the box office—and keeps adding new future projects. When it was all said and done, Johnson’s movies had totaled $1.3 billion at the box office, edging out Downey Jr.’s $1.2 billion…all of which came from Iron Man 3. The Rock took to the Twitter recently to semi-announce what could be one of his biggest gigs to date. According to him, he had a big meeting with Warner Brothers regarding a DC Comics role. But who might he be playing?
