Last week on Gotham, Penguin’s (Robin Lord Taylor) new business giving out crime licenses was flourishing and even the GCPD is on board – except for Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie). Penguin wanted to unionize crime. Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) also did not like it, having run across it during a vigilante run. Tabitha (Jessica Lucas) started training Selina (Camren Bicondova). An unlicensed gang took Jonathan Crane (Charlie Tahan), and forced him to make more fear juice. Gordon used Penguin to flush out the gang and make Penguin look cowardly. Spoilers below.

20th Century Fox has announced new collectible box set releases for two Joss Whedon fan favorites, Firefly and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The releases come in celebration of Firefly‘s 15th anniversary, and Buffy‘s 20th anniversary. | ‘The Orville’: Seth MacFarlane Talks ‘Star Trek’ Comparison; Fox Not Worried About Being Sued
When watching the trailer for The Orville, the upcoming sci-fi dramedy from Family Guy creator and Ted director Seth MacFarlane, it’s impossible to not immediately think of Star Trek (and also Galaxy Quest). Hell, even Orville executive producer Brannon Braga wrote and produced Star Trek series The Next Generation, Voyager, and Enterprise (which he is credited as the creator of), and was a writer on movies Generations and First Contact. For the 2017 Television Critics Association summer press tour, MacFarlane was asked about the comparison to Trek. Additionally, Fox was asked if they were worried about being sued over the show, especially with CBS having a brand new Trek series making its debut around the same time. | SDCC 2017: ‘Legion’ Creator Noah Hawley Announces Doctor Doom Film
You’ll never know what kind of news will drop at SDCC. Take for instance what happened at Ballroom 20 this weekend. Fargo creator Noah Hawley was there to talk about Legion where he dropped a massive very newsworthy bomb on the audience. He told them that he was developing a project for Fox, and then followed it up with two words: Doctor Doom. While we know Hawley is more than capable of handling comic book material, but an entire film about Doctor Doom seems out of the ordinary. But then again, it may be just the thing Fox needs to hold on to rights to the Fantastic Four. They’re going to need something like this, especially after Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four performed poorly with critics and audiences alike. More on the story below.
