| Disney Interested In Buying 20th Century Fox Film and TV Divisions
Disney has been acquiring some major properties in the past few years. They’ve purchased the rights to Pixar, which has given them not only a box office smash animation studio but an Academy Award-winning one as well. They’ve also purchased the rights to Marvel, which has led to the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Lucasfilm, their latest major acquisition, has already given way to two successful hits. But now they are looking to make their biggest acquisition yet. According to a new report, Disney is looking into purchasing 20th Century Fox – which includes their film division and television division. This could be a huge game-changer for the entertainment industry as it shrinks the competition and also makes a studio much bigger. More on the story below.

Last time on Gotham, Jonathan Crane (Charlie Tahan) went on a rampage in the asylum, literally spraying fear into people. Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) was on his own as even Bullock (Donal Logue) stayed behind. Jim did overcome his fear. Barbara (Erin Richards) revealed her non-death to Tabitha and Selina (Jessica Lucas, Camren Bicondova), and a plan to profit off of Penguin’s (Robin Lord Taylor) new game, the game of issuing crime licenses. Bruce (David Mazouz) was arrested and almost shot, to Alfred’s (Sean Pertwee) dismay. Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk) made him a batsuit. Ivy (Maggie Geha) drank poison after being rebuffed by Barbara. | NYCC 2017 Video Interview: Cast Of FOX’s Marvel Show ‘The Gifted’
The highly anticipated FOX series The Gifted premiered its first episode last week, and has already received much acclaim for what is being called a solid start to the Marvel show. Set in the same Marvel universe as the X-Men films and loosely connected to FX’s Legion, The Gifted “tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers,” FOX says. Geeks Of Doom had the chance this weekend to sit down and interview stars Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Coby Bell, Emma Dumont, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Percy Hynes White at New York Comic-Con 2017.

| Hit Animated Series ‘Bob’s Burgers’ To Get Its Own Movie
If an animated TV series becomes successful, chances of it eventually getting its own movie are fairly high. We’ve seen it happen over and over again—sometimes as theatrical releases (South Park, The Simpsons) and sometimes as straight-to-video or TV movies (Family Guy, Futurama). And now it’s happening with FOX’s hit animated title Bob’s Burgers. A release date for the animated feature has also been reserved, but fans will have a little bit of waiting to do. The movie is scheduled for release on July 17, 2020.
