Last week on The Strain, the vamps have gotten into Red Hook via naive boat captain. It looks like the end for the councilwoman and pretty much everyone, but they have the motley heroes on their side. Nora (Mia Maestro) and Fet (Kevin Durand) go try to restore the UV power, but newly madeover Kelly Goodweather (Natalie Brown) follow them because they have Zach. Eph (Corey Stoll) and Dutch (Ruta Gedmintas) take up arms (seperately). Nikki ends up saving Dutch’s life, and for that sweet Fet is grateful. In a last hope rallying cry, Justine urges the people of Red Hook to take up arms, and it’s a victory for the neighborhood (even though if Nora and Fet did not get the power back on, it would have been a different story). Setrakian (David Bradley) takes off after Eichorst (Richard Sammel), with Eph on his heels. I honestly can’t believe Setrakian has not given up by now, because he never wins.

Inside ‘The Strain’ – Designing The Master
![Inside The Strain The Master Inside The Strain The Master](https://i0.wp.com/www.geeksofdoom.com/GoD/img/2015/08/inside-the-strain-the-master-530x298.jpg?resize=530%2C298&ssl=1)
Sometimes, you have to marvel at the behind-the-scenes talent of some television shows. We all know that The Strain could not be as freaky as it is, without the Creature FX team, that design the creepy little blind “feelers,” the humans transforming to strigoi, and of course, the various incarnations of the king of the vamps – The Master.
Check out how they do it in the video below.

SDCC 2015: ‘Archer’ Panel – What’s Next?
![Archer Panel Comic-Con Archer Panel Comic-Con](https://i0.wp.com/www.geeksofdoom.com/GoD/img/2015/07/archer-panel-comic-con-530x298.jpg?resize=530%2C298&ssl=1)
Archer has rocked the cable universe for 6 seasons and the FX show rode into San Diego Comic-Con for a panel discussion, to prep fans for the upcoming season 7. For those who haven’t dabbled in the “Danger Zone” (cue Kenny Loggins!), Archer is a wonderfully crazy, borderline pornographic, and altogether maniacal frenzy of animated drugs, guns, spies, and sex. It focuses on momma’s boy spy Sterling Archer (H. Jon Benjamin), his on-again, off-again love interest Lana (LANA!!!) played by Aisha Tyler, and their partners in secret spy agency ISIS… yeah, well… until they kinda sorta had to change that.
Watch the panel videos below.

![SDRR Heathens Young Header SDRR Heathens Young Header](https://i0.wp.com/www.geeksofdoom.com/GoD/img/2015/06/sdrr-heathens-young-header-530x282.jpg?resize=530%2C283&ssl=1)
SDRR and FX has released 4 “rockumentaries” for fictional band, The Heathens. The videos provide a bit of history for this has-been band, fronted by Johnny Rock (Denis Leary), axe man Flash (John Corbett), bassist Rehab (John Ales), and Bam-Bam (Robert Kelly) who pounds away on the kit. Johnny Rock’s long lost daughter is Gigi (Liz Gillies), whose vocals will propel the band into the 21st Century (they hope). We hope so too. We want Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll to stick around after this promising publicity.
Watch all 4 “Rockumentaries” below.
