| ‘Game Of Thrones’ Author George R.R. Martin Says Characters Die In Season 5 That Don’t Die In Books
Many fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones who aren’t familiar with author George R.R. Martin‘s “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series go into each new episode terrified at the thought that one of their favorite characters could be dead without warning before the credits roll. This is something fans of the books obviously do not have to worry about…not until now anyway. Martin made a surprise appearance at the Writers Guild West Awards recently, where he revealed a shocking bit of information: characters are going to die in Game of Thrones Season 5 who do not die in his books. | This Is The Best Way To Ensure George R.R. Martin Finishes ‘Game Of Thrones’ (Video)
The biggest concern for fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones has always been if author George R.R. Martin could finish the book series the show is based on before the show caught up. Martin has finished five books from 1996 to 2011, with two more on the way currently without release dates. HBO is set to premiere season five of the series this April. So how can Martin possibly get the final two entries written and published in time? Clone him, of course! In a new video the scenario is presented as a trailer for the sequel to the 1996 Michael Keaton comedy Multiplicity which is titled, naturally, Multiplicity 2: Game of Clones. You can watch it below.

| SDCC 2014: ‘Game Of Thrones’ Panel Reveals New Cast Members (Video) |
 |

The cast of HBO’s hit series Game Of Thrones along with creator George R.R. Martin and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss made an appearance today in Hall H today at San Diego Comic-Con. The actors on the panel were Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Baratheon), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), Rory McCann (Sandor Clegane “The Hound”), Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark). All the cast members received a loud round of applause, though Pedro Pascal, who plays Oberyn Martell The Red Viper, got the loudest response it seemed. Moderator Craig Ferguson jokingly asked the panel which of them was still alive on the show, considering that some of the actors’ characters were killed off (a specialty of Martin’s). A blooper reel was shown, but the big reveal for the panel was a video introducing the new cast members for season five and something about their characters (mostly, their weaponry). Filming will take part for some scenes in Spain, Ireland, and Croatia, and will introduce more of the Dornish characters. The standout actors revealed for next season include Alexander Diddig (of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fame) as Doran Martell, Jonathan Pryce as High Sparrow, and Keisha Castle-Hughes (from Whale Rider) as Obara Sand, the bastard daughter of Oberyn Martell. Watch the new cast member video here below.

| ‘Game Of Thrones’ Mountain Becomes Incredible Hulk For Kid’s B-Day, Lifts 1,000 lbs (Videos) |
 |

Ser Gregor Clegane, or “The Mountain That Rides,” is a monster…in more ways than one, as anyone who’s read George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series or watched HBO’s Game of Thrones can tell you. The character has been played by three different actors over the course of the series, the most recent being Hafthor Bjornsson, a physical specimen out of Iceland. But unlike the character he’s playing, Hafthor is not a monster at all (at least not intentionally—let’s face it, at 6 ft 9 in tall and 421 lbs, you’re gonna be f’n terrifying from time to time whether you mean to or not). Bjornsson went all out for one three-year-old’s birthday party, getting his entire body painted to make him look like The Incredible Hulk. Despite being a fan of the Marvel superhero, the child was quite frightened (because see above), but Hafthor took photos with whoever was willing to get close enough. You can see a video of the Incredible Hulk transformation and birthday party appearance below, plus a bonus video of Hafthor deadlifting almost 1,000 lbs, which is why he gets to be The Mountain and Hulk.
