Welcome, one and all, to a story that isn’t quite as you might remember it. This version, aptly titled Ghostbusters: Deviations, is all about what would happen if one key part of the story was changed. This is essentially along the lines of an alternate reality story mashed up with the basic “what if” concept we have seen in the past.

I think the part that stands out the most is that the script changes the story about ten minutes from the end of the first film. The writer chose an important part and changed only one key action. It makes for hilarity in comic form.

Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Ghostbusters Trailer Reaction

Pick a movie trailer, any movie trailer, and chances are you can find a video of someone reacting to it online. At least for the bigger movies. There’s no denying it: people love reacting to stuff and people love watching those people reacting to stuff.

With over 25.6 million views, you can imagine how many reaction videos there are for the long-awaited first trailer for the Ghostbusters reboot. Taking a quick peek at the trailer’s votes on YouTube, you can also deduce that the response has not been very good. To the tune of just over 450,000 negative votes to under 200,000 positive votes. We haven’t seen a reaction that bad since the Jem and the Holograms trailer, and this is on a much bigger scale.

But whether you loved or hated what you saw, it’s clear that folks were excited to see what the movie looked like. This includes none other than the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the original Ghostbusters, who has his very own reaction video for the trailer. You can see how it went for ol’ Stay Puft below.

Ghostbusters 2016 Reboot -- Chris Hemsworth

If the first Ghostbusters trailer didn’t quite live up to your to expectations, unless those expectations were to criticize Leslie Jones for playing an MTA employee and not a scientist – “It’s not a race thang,” the comedian assured critics and fans in a tweet – then a brand new international trailer might be to your liking.

Sony has just released the new international trailer for the Paul Feig-directed reboot, which features a bit more action than the first one, and more speaking lines for Chris Hemsworth. Check it out below.

Ghostbusters Image #2

It seems strange that we are getting a first look at Paul Feig‘s Ghostbusters starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. But we are. No matter how strange or weird the campaign strategy is, most of us have already expressed our thoughts on the idea that the film was being rebooted based on Ivan Reitman’s ’80s classic. And a trailer isn’t exactly going to change anyone’s opinion, although it could reinforce already established opinions.

Still, if you remain hopeful, then I suggest you check out the full trailer below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Ghostbusters Twinkie

If you were worried that the new Ghostbusters reboot wouldn’t bring with it new toys and merchandise and cross promotions with various food products to help market the movie, worry no more.

Not only have we seen peeks at toys that are on the way, but we’re getting an idea of the foods you’ll likely be more interested in collecting than actually consuming. There’s been rumors that every Ghostbusters fan’s favorite childhood drink, the Hi-C Ecto Cooler, will be making a return, and now comes word of a new Twinkies flavor that has green slime instead of the usual creamy filling.

You can see an image of the box of Twinkies below.
