ABC begins this fall season with a new president in charge (Channing Dungey) and a handful of popular shows (long-running Grey’s Anatomy and Modern Family), but with a lot of sore spots. Last season saw several renewals, but none of them were breakout hits. Expect ABC to come back swinging with a few surefire contenders for most buzz-worthy, and hopefully, with solid ratings that actually sustain the series.

This edition of Disney In Depth previews the potential success – and failure, unfortunately, in a few cases – of ABC’s Fall 2016 Schedule, both new and returning shows.

Clark Gregg and Hayley Atwell brought their legendary rivalry to the Lip Sync Battle stage last night. The pair were last pitted against each other during the infamous Dubsmash Wars for charity back in October, with Atwell’s Agent Carter team the winner, raising $79,818 for “Stomp Out Bullying.” The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. team may have lost the contest, but won at life raising $75,410 for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Marvel’s popularity is at its height, as shown at New York Comic-Con 2015. On Friday, October 9th, Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb held a Marvel’s Agents of Primetime Panel to give fans updates for on both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter. With fans already pumped about the event and the shows, they became even more excited when Clark Gregg appeared on stage. At that point, the crowd’s chants of “Carter! Carter!” changed to “Coulson! Coulson!”

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has hit the milestone of 50 episodes, and Loeb expressed his gratitude to the fans for this achievement.

Another preview of Marvel’s Agent Carter has been released, which shares a mixture of clips as well as some behind-the-scenes footage of the show being filmed and info straight from the star, Hayley Atwell.

Agent Carter is a special seven-part series, which will debut on Tuesday, January 6th with a two-hour premiere on ABC. You can continue below to watch the new behind-the-scenes preview.

December is here, which means a lot of the shows you watch on TV is or will be on their winter breaks. Come January, these shows will either continue on with their season or will have been cancelled. Now there are also mid-season premieres to look forward to, one of which is Marvel’s Agent Carter. The show is based on the character played by Hayley Atwell, who first appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger, then the Marvel One Shot of the same name, which was followed by her appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Agent Carter would eventually be turned into a televised series, with ABC ordering eight episodes. Now it has been cut down to seven, because the network will turn the premiere into a two-hour event. Hit the jump for more.
