It’s still hard to believe that Game of Thrones is over. There were times when it seemed like the next season might never arrive, and now all eight seasons have come and gone. After its premiere back in 2011, the series quickly developed a rabid fanbase and became a television juggernaut. It was, quite simply, one of the biggest series ever made.
But while the show has indeed ended, HBO released Game of Thrones: The Complete Series last month so that fans can re-visit the story in its entirety whenever they wish to.

‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Teaser Trailer Is A Painful Reminder Of Seasons Past

The first teaser trailer for season six of HBO’s Game of Thrones has been released, and it is a quickfire reminder of the pain this show has caused many of us over the years, ending of course with the most recent character loss (maybe). Much like that promo art (not that it needs to be said, but you should probably avoid clicking that or watching this teaser if you’re not yet caught up with the show) we saw recently, the new teaser is sure to toy with your emotions about where the new season is heading.
You can check out the first teaser trailer for Game of Thrones season six below.

Hodor and Bran Stark Will Return For ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6
|
 |

Last September we found out that Hodor (Kristian Nairn) and Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright), along with Meera Reed (Ellie Kendrick), were taking season five of Game of Thrones off, because their storyline was all caught up with the books. And as we found out, this was very true. Nairn used his time off to do his “Rave of Thrones” tour.
It seemed pretty unlikely that these important characters would be taking off a second consecutive season, but if you were worried whether you would have to go another year without some Hodor on your TV screens or not, fear not, for it has been confirmed that they will be returning for season six…which has already been greenlit and is very likely to be the penultimate season of the show.
Hempstead Wright confirmed his return in an interview recently (which we assume means the return of Hodor and Meera as well), and also talked about what Marvel role he’d love to play. You can see what he had to say below, though be warned, potential spoilers lurk below. Only proceed if caught up with the show or if you don’t mind a spoiler or two here and there.

As always, HBO has released the previous season, season four, on Blu-ray and DVD just in time to help get us through these undeniably difficult final couple of months of waiting for the new season to arrive. Once again we offer our review without any spoilers—in case you’ve not yet started or finished the latest season—and focus mainly on what fans of the show who are caught up want to know, which is what special features are included on the discs. If you’ve never seen the show at all, why on earth are you reading a review of season four instead of watching season one, episode one? Go now!

‘The Boxtrolls’: A Look At The Amazing Work That Went Into The Stop-Motion Feature (Videos)

If you’ve seen 2009’s Coraline or 2012’s ParaNorman, then you know the kind of top-notch stop-motion animation work that Laika Entertainment can deliver. With their next feature, The Boxtrolls, they of course aim to set the bar higher.
While we can watch, enjoy, and appreciate a movie for what it is, not always do we really see what goes into making it. This is especially the case for stop-motion films, which require an unfathomable amount of work and detail to pull off successfully. With The Boxtrolls set to hit theaters this Friday, distributor Focus Features has unveiled a pair of new videos that will give you a greater appreciation of the art of stop-motion.
You can check them out below.
