| ‘It: Chapter 2’: Jessica Chastain Says Sequel Will Have Bloodiest Sequence In A Horror Film |

There’s nothing like good old-fashioned hype to build anticipation. Jessica Chastain says that It: Chapter 2 will have one of the bloodiest horror sequences in horror movie history. There’s no telling if this is true or not, but based on how horrifying and successful Andy Muschietti‘s It (or It: Chapter 1) was, we should take the actress at her world. Chastain, who appears in the upcoming sequel as an older Beverly Marsh, made the claim while on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. While I don’t take these nightly talk shows too seriously, they have been known to give us small nuggets worth of information; for instance, Ben Affleck confirming that he’s done with Batman. Sure, we’ve known that was coming, but still. And we’ve also seen trailers debut on these shows. So, there may be some truth to what Chastain said. Check out the video of her recent late night talk show appearance here below.

| ‘IT: Chapter Two’ Eyes Bill Hader and James McAvoy
We were always going to go back to Derry, Maine, to revisit the sewer-scuttling terror known as Pennywise in IT: Chapter Two. After the success of the first IT, Warner Bros. made it a priority to get a sequel out. Since this was going to take place years after the events of the first movie, director Andy Muschietti would have to recast with adult actors. And that didn’t stop any of us from creating our very own dream cast. Currently, Jessica Chastain is the only one confirmed for IT: Chapter Two. She would reunite with Muschietti after they worked together on Mama. And now you can add two more. According to new reports, Bill Hader and James McAvoy are currently in talks to star in IT: Chapter Two. More on the story here below.

Stephen King’s IT
Directed by Andy Muschietti
Written by Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga, and Gary Dauberman
Starring Bill Skarsgård, Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, Nicholas Hamilton, Jackson Robert Scott
Warner Bros. Pictures
Release date: September 8, 2017 The first adaptation of Stephen King‘s novel It was a 1990 mini-series starring Tim Curry as the child-eating monster. The ambitious project from director Tommy Lee Wallace tried in vain to fit all 1,100 pages of King’s epic novel into two 2-hour blocks and the results were a mixed bag. The first half is nearly universally beloved thanks to some great child acting and Curry chewing the scenery and stealing nights of sleep as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. The second half focuses on the adults 27 years later returning to stop the evil again and it falters heavily from cheesy overacting and a universally “be-loathed” giant spider ending. Coincidentally, it’s 27 year later, and Mama director Andy Muschietti took what worked back in 1990 and focused an entire film on it with Stephen King’s IT.
