| SDCC 2012: ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ Panel
Oz: The Great and Powerful is Sam Raimi‘s prequel to the 1939 adaptation of L. Frank Baum‘s classic book. It stars James Franco as the titular wizard, and Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams as the witches of Oz. San Diego Comic-Con moderator Chris Hardwick (The Nerdist podcast) introduced director Sam Raimi with a montage of his past films, including Spider-Man, Drag Me To Hell, the Evil Dead series, and The Quick and the Dead, amongst others. Raimi described Comic-Con as “geek central,” and says he loves coming here. He said Oz is based on L. Frank Baum’s stories, but is really the story of the Wizard’s journey to Oz, and his relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch.

| Watch This: Set Visit To Sam Raimi’s ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’
I had a lot of fun at last year’s D23 Expo. Seeing everything Disney may be been one of the reasons why I attended the con, but the other reason is because I really wanted to see a preview of all their films. Most of them have already lived up to their hype. One of those previews I was most excited for is Sam Raimi‘s Oz: The Great and Powerful. Now a new video as popped up on line that shows what it was like to be on the set of Raimi’s new film. Check it out below.

| Emma Watson, Jason Segel Join Seth Rogen & Jay Baruchel’s Apocalypse Movie ‘End Of The World’
It’s been nearly four years now since we first heard that Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, and Evan Goldberg‘s apocalypse comedy trailer, Jay and Seth Versus the Apocalypse (which you can see here if you haven’t already), would actually be turned into a feature length movie. Since then it has be re-named The Apocalypse…and then re-named again, giving it its current title, The End of the World. With the title changes the movie’s story has also changed, and quite the cast of actors have jumped on board, most of whom we’re used to seeing together on the screen. Even more actors are now joining the project, including Harry Potter star Emma Watson, who’s in negotiations, as well as Jason Segel and David Krumholtz. All three actors will be playing themselves.
