| Does Ben Affleck’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Set Visit Confirm Batman? |
 |

Normally we don’t write about leaked set photos because they usually amount to nothing. A lot of what we see isn’t what is reflected in the finished product. But when it comes to a film like Suicide Squad, it is a bit different. David Ayer‘s film sees some of DC Comics greatest villains assembling for a highly dangerous government black-ops mission. Joker (Jared Leto), Harley Quinn (Margo Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) are just some most notable DC characters in the film. But what’s a movie with the Joker without having the Batman in it? Well, since Suicide Squad takes place in the same universe as Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, there was major speculation that Ben Affleck would have a role in the film. The film is currently shooting, and it looks like fans who have been sticking close to the production set have noticed a sharply dressed Affleck spending some quality time on the set of Suicide Squad. So is he in it or is he just playing with the geek community? There are minor spoilers ahead, so for more on that and the photos of Affleck on set, see below.

Earlier this month, Ayer had released the first cast photo from Suicide Squad, with the actors together for a table read, though Leto was notably absent for the gathering. Soon after, the director posted a photo of Leto striking a pose in homage to the Joker cover for the classic DC Comics The Killing Joke, written by Alan Moore. But the actor was not in full-on Joker mode at that point and his face was obscured by the camera he was holding.

Yesterday, we reported on the Suicide Squad cast photo that was posted on director David Ayer‘s Twitter account. Was it a bathroom break or was he busy doing something else? It really doesn’t matter at this point, because Ayer has posted the photo that everyone has been waiting for – so to speak. A first look at Leto as the Joker, using the infamous “The Killing Joke” cover as a reference. Hit the jump to check it out.
