SDCC 2012: ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Panel
The cast and crew of the popular CBS series The Big Bang Theory made an appearance at Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con today. The panelists included producers Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, and Steven Molaro, along with cast members Mayim Bialik, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg, Melissa Rauch, and via satellite, Jim Parsons (Johnny Galecki’s plane was delayed so he missed the panel, but was expected to appear for other events later today).
Check out our photos of the cast and crew from The Big Bang Theory panel.
Aside from a gag reel from Season 5 (out on DVD and Blu-ray this September 11th), no other new footage was shown, but the actors all managed to keep the fans entertained with a lot of jokes and quip. The time was taken up by the panelists fielding questions from the audience members, with the majority of the fans coming up to the mike being small children looking and sounding adorable.

CBS Renews ‘Big Bang Theory’ Through 2014
CBS announced a deal to renew hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory for another three years through the 2013-14 television season.
The show, which stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, and Kaley Cuoco, has always been a hit with geeks for its witty, scientifically accurate dialog, and frequent references to pop culture. However, the last season has seen a huge ratings boost coupled with more media attention — making a long-term renewal a no-brainer for the studio.
It also helps that 2010 was a particularly good year for Parsons, whose portrayal of Sheldon Cooper won not only a 2010 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series but also a Golden Globe win this year for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical.

Watch Conan O’Brien’s Show Zero Before ‘Conan’ Starts Next Week!
|
|
After the disaster that went down with NBC and Jay Leno, leaving a one Conan O’Brien out in the dark and alone (though with a sizable chunk of compensation in his pocket), we had ourselves a long, long wait ahead of us before Conan would be contractually eligible to return to the air.
Back in April we found out that the late night talk show host’s new home would in fact be TBS, and now, finally, it’s almost here: the glorious return of Conan O’Brien.
Conan is set to debut this upcoming Monday night at 11pm, but if just a few more days of waiting is still too much for you, Conan decided to make a mini internet preview called Show Zero on Team Coco. This condensed sample of the show takes all of the fun we’re used to and jam-packs it into a nice and neat sub-5-minute pile of entertainment. Guests include The Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons and a musical performance from Steel Train.
Click on over to the other side to watch Conan O’Brien’s Show Zero, and be sure to tune in next Monday at 11 to help stick it to NBC.

SDCC 2010: Watch Now: Wil Wheaton and Cast of ‘The Big Bang Theory’
|
|
What’s better than having the entire cast of geeky hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory sit in on a panel discussion at San Diego Comic-Con 2010? How about having Sheldon Cooper’s nemesis Wil Wheaton moderating said panel? That’s exactly what fans got this year in the convention center’s second largest meeting space.
After an unannounced performance of the theme song led by Barenaked Ladies and a clip reel of footage from the show [READ: SDCC 2010: Barenaked Ladies Perform “˜Big Bang Theory’ Theme At Cast Panel], the cast — Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar, and Simon Helberg — was asked a variety of questions, including what Nayyar’s future as a Bollywood superstar was, what it was like working with Christine Baranski, and what super-hero identity they’d like to take on if given the chance. (Hint: Helberg definitely wouldn’t be Moist).
I fully expect their responses to be illustrated into a comic book and spread among the internets any day now. Check out video of the entire panel below…
