| Marvel and Netflix’s ‘The Punisher’ Arrives In 2017; New Cast Announced
It’s hard not to enjoy what Marvel has been offering on Netflix. Recently we’ve seen some trailers for Iron Fist, the fourth Marvel series following Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, which arrives on the streaming platform early next year. That will be followed up by the ensemble series The Defenders, which sees all four titular standalone heroes unite to defeat a yet to be revealed villain, which is rumored to be The Hand. While all of that is going on, Netflix and Marvel are currently working on The Punisher. At first, it was thought that the Daredevil spinoff series would be released sometime in 2018. But now, it has been confirmed that it will instead be released in 2017. Check out the full story below.

| SDCC 2016: Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ Confirmed For Season 3 On Netflix
Well, it’s official. Season 3 of Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix is coming soon. Announced earlier today at San Diego Comic-Con and via Twitter this evening, we get a small taste of what’s to come in a newly released announcement video. The teaser video features a NYC subway sign for the 1, 2, and 3 train lines in Hell’s Kitchen, and when the lights go out for a moment, we hear the sounds of melee combat. I didn’t catch it on the first go around, but did notice on the second: the iconic DD is splattered in blood on the sign! Though we never see an combatants, there’s no doubt what’s happening. When the lights come back on, the sign for the 3 train is spotlighted before the text comes up that “Season III” will be “coming soon.” But don’t take my word for it, watch the teaser trailer here below!

| Full Season Of Marvel’s ‘The Punisher’ Officially Ordered By Netflix
Back in January we found out that Netflix and Marvel were developing a potential Daredevil spinoff series titled The Punisher, focusing of course on Frank Castle, who made his debut in the recently released Daredevil season two and was played by The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal. Today it’s been confirmed that this isn’t something that might happen anymore. It actually is happening. Netflix has officially ordered a full first season of the Punisher series, with Bernthal set to reprise his role as Castle. Marvel’s Daredevil
Season 2 Episode 13
Created by Drew Goddard
Starring Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Elodie Yung
Netflix
Premiere date: Friday, March 18th, 2016 So much has happened so far in Daredevil. I feel like Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride; “Let me explain, no there is no time, let me sum up.” Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) accidentally figured out who The Blacksmith was, Frank’s former Colonel Ray Schoonover (Clancy Brown), but Frank (Jon Bernthal) interceded and followed his teacher’s advice, “one shot, one kill.” After dispatching him, he found a cache of military grade weaponry that reminded me of the wonderful scene in The Boondock Saints where the brothers arm themselves. Elektra (Elodie Yung) has been marked by Nobu (Peter Shinkoda) as the leader of The Hand; a job she resists by helping Daredevil and Stick fight them off. It’s time for the conclusion to season 2 of Daredevil, which is like the Super Bowl in that it’s exciting but there’s a sense of melancholy that after this, something you love will be gone for long time… Spoilers below for the season finale of Daredevil…
