The moment that every fan of Netflix’s Marvel shows has been dreading has finally arrived. Netflix has officially axed Marvel’s The Punisher and Jessica Jones television series. The news is something we all should have seen coming considering the wave of cancellations, like Marvel’s Iron First, Luke Cage, and Daredevil, along with Disney’s launch of Disney+ later this year.

| Netflix’s Marvel Shows Can’t Appear On Disney+ For Two Years
The wave of Marvel shows being canceled by Netflix was alarming but not surprising, especially since Disney is launching their own streaming service, Disney+, in 2019. Most believed that Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and presumably The Punisher and Jessica Jones would just migrate over to their new home. Which makes sense. They would join the Scarlet Witch, Loki, Winter Soldier, and Falcon shows that are being launched. However, there is a clause that prevents these shows from appearing on Disney+ until 2020. | NYCC 2018: ‘Daredevil’ Panel Introduces Bullseye (Video)
The NYCC 2018 panel for Daredevil season 3 – held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in NYC – featured cast and crew alike. There to discuss the ongoing cinematic journey of Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, and Wilson Fisk were show stars Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, Vincent D’Onofrio, Joanne Whalley, Wilson Bethel, and Jay Ali, as well as series showrunner Erik Oleson and Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb. But before getting into the meat of the discussion, Loeb introduced the cast and then announced that Cox was married this past weekend – and his wife was sitting right behind me!
