Air Date: Monday, May 16th, 2016, 8pm We left off with a bang as Penguin and Butch (Robin Lord Taylor and Drew Powell) showed up to save Gordon (Ben McKenzie) from the former Theo Galavan (James Frain) turned monstrous Azrael, by blowing him up in one of the craziest moments in the show’s history. Jim and Harvey (Donal Logue) know Dr. Hugo Strange (B.D. Wong) is dirty but he manages to stay one step ahead, hiding his monster lab in a secret basement at Arkham. At Bruce’s behest, Selina (Camren Bicondova) sneaks into the asylum. While looking for answers she stumbles into the lair of the Firefly, her old pal Bridget (Michelle Veintimilla), who set herself ablaze with her flamethrower. Like Azrael not remembering his past, Firefly doesn’t remember Selina from the Strange brainwashing, and looks to light the cat up. SPOILERS BELOW…

Air Date: Monday, March 14th, 2016, 8pm Last week on Gotham, Alfred (Sean Pertwee) tells Bruce (David Mazouz) that he will be the one to kill Malone, the guy who killed his parents. Bruce pretends to agree, but then asks Selina (Camren Bicondova) to get him a gun. Mr. Freeze (Nathan Darrow) attempts to grab his wife, Nora, from Arkham where she is being used as bait. Dr. Strange (BD Wong) helps him out in exchange for his formula. Lee (Morena Baccharin) goes with Freeze as a hostage, getting a lot of insight as to the inner working of mens minds from Nora, who then kills herself by switching the “bullet” to a flawed formula. Fries turns the gun on himself, but he is somehow resurrected in his true villain form by Strange. We see a glimpse of Theo Galavan (James Frain) in a giant tube. Beware of spoilers below!

Air Date: Monday, October 19th, 2015, 8pm Last week on Gotham, there’s a new captain, and he won’t take any s***. His name is Captain Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis). He immediately fires a bunch of corrupt cops and forms a “Strike Force,” headed by Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), made up of newbies. He wants to hit Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor). You know who also hits Penguin? Theo Galavan (James Frain). He kidnaps Mommy Cobblepott (Carol Kane), and forces Penguin to take out the mayoral competition, using the fake attempt on his life (also by Penguin) to declare his candidacy. Jim knows it’s Penguin, but they have that dirty little deed between them. Bruce (David Mazouz) meets Silver St. Cloud – his new love interest and also Theo’s niece. Alfred (Sean Pertwee) is cruel to Selina (Camren Bicondova), and actually hits her. Nygma and Ms. Kringle (Cory Michael Smith and Chelsea Spack) have dinner, and it’s a surprising and creepy success (the creepy is not the surprising part). Spoiler alert!

Air Date: Monday, April 27th, 2015, 8pm Last week’s Gotham thrilled and chilled us. Here’s a recap of “Under The Knife” before this week’s review. Beware! There are a few spoilers after the recap. The quirky little Ed Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) we know and love is gone. He got a taste for blood when he butchered Ms. Kringle’s handsy boyfriend. I did not even recognize him, and not because his hair was different and he had no glasses on. He was a maniac killer, enjoying it. Jim (Ben McKenzie) will not back off even though The Ogre called him and warned him. Why should he worry? He made sure Lee (Morena Baccharin) was safe. Barbara (Erin Richards) is not though.
