Toby Kebbell Docks ‘Kong: Skull Island’
Universal and Legendary’s monster movie Kong: Skull Island isn’t scheduled to start shooting until October, but the script continues to be perfected, and the cast continues to grow. Their latest addition will now be Toby Kebbell (Fantastic Four, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes). He will be joining Tom Hiddelston and Brie Larson, as they will play as a team of explorers who venture into the mysterious, creature-laden isle.

‘Jurassic World’ Scribe To Polish ‘Kong: Skull Island’ Script
It is only a matter of weeks before Legendary’s King Kong-prequel Skull Island, starring Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson, starts to film, but not before a final script is turned in. This isn’t anything new, as scripts are constantly being rewritten in order to perfect the narrative, and now Universal is doing an in-house hire before the script can be finalized. According to a new report, Jurassic World co-writer Derek Connolly has been tapped to polish the script.

Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Wilkinson, More In Talks For ‘Skull Island’
Following the news that Brie Larson (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Short Term 12), and Russell Crowe were in talks to appear in Skull Island, Legendary’s reimagining of the story of the home island of King Kong, comes word that the film may add a couple of big names to the cast. According to a new report, the studio is eying Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers, Pulp Fiction), Tom Wilkinson (Batman Begins, Michael Clayton), and John C. Reilly (Wreck-It Ralph, Guardians of the Galaxy) to the cast. They’d be joining Tom Hiddleston and Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins.

Brie Larson In Talks For ‘Kong: Skull Island’; Russell Crowe Possible
The United States of Tara star Brie Larson has entered into negotiations to play the female lead in the King Kong origins movie, Kong: Skull Island.
Larson would join Thor, The Avengers, and Crimson Peak star Tom Hiddleston on the cast. The cast also once included recent Academy Award nominee Michael Keaton and recent Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons, but both of them had to step away from the movie due to scheduling conflict. One actor who is said to be a possible replacement for one of the departed stars is Russell Crowe, but whether or not he’ll be interested in the role won’t be known until the next draft of the movie is turned in and he can read it.

Tom Hiddleston To Star In King Kong Movie ‘Skull Island’; Jordan Vogt-Roberts To Direct
We got quite the surprise when Legendary Pictures announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 that they were going to make a film based on Skull Island. The island where King Kong originated from was expanded thanks in part to Peter Jackson‘s version of the iconic beast back in 2005, but it seems that this film would focus on the entire island has a whole and may or may not just be about King Kong.
While we are left to speculate what the film will be about, Legendary has released some fascinating new details about the film, and have already found its lead star and a director. Tom Hiddleston will star in an unspecified role, while Kings of Summer director Jordan Vogt-Roberts will helm the film. Hit the jump for more info.
