Warner Bros.’ Joker, from director Todd Phillips, promises to be a deep character study of one of the greatest Batman villains. Starring Joaquin Phoenix as the titular Clown Prince of Crime, the standalone film will be something that is separate from whatever is going on in the DC Extended Universe, and that strategy may prove to be of benefit as it will allow the studio to release darker and more mature material that do not follow the conventional rules of a comic book movie.

Now we are getting another look at the film in the form of the final trailer. Check it out along with a poster below.

Warner Bros. has released a teaser trailer for Joker, the upcoming movie about the infamous Batman villain starring Joaquin Phoenix in the title role.

The teaser trailer for the movie was first shared during a presentation at CinemaCon yesterday, before being released to the masses this morning. In addition to the trailer, a new poster for the movie has also been released. You can find both the trailer and the poster below.

My favorite has-been, Johnny Rock (creator/writer Denis Leary), his up and coming talented daughter Gigi (Liz Gillies), and the rest of The Heathens turned Assassins, Flash, Rehab, Bam Bam, and Ava (John Corbett, John Ales, Robert Kelly, and Elaine Hendrix), will return for Sex&Drugs& Rock&Roll season 2! The final season 1 episode of Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll aired last night, and I’ll tell you… this has been an enjoyable little season. The premise is original, the comedy is dark, the drama is light, and the rock does roll. The exploits of Johnny Rock (Denis Leary) and The Heathens, long-lost daughter plus kickass singer Gigi (Liz Gillies), guitarist/nemesis Flash (John Corbett), snarky girlfriend/backup singer Ava (Elaine Hendricks), severely in need of rehab bassist Rehab (John Ales), and silly foodie drummer Bam Bam (Robert Kelly), provided 10 episodes of roguish delight.

Last week on Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, the episode lived up to its “pimp” name, as Johnny (Denis Leary) started talking to a young (and douch-y) guy to get him to date Gigi (Liz Gillies). He’d do anything to get her away from Flash (John Corbett). It almost worked too, and led to the best songwriting session of the season. Click here to see the list of some of the very creative song titles. Rehab and Bam Bam (John Ales and Robert Kelly) are sick of being 2nd (rather 4th and 5th) string in the band, and decide to create their own genre, Beastcore (animal sounds included). They are surprisingly kind of successful at a show, but the end brings about a never-mention-this-ever moment.
