| Kickstarter Spotlight: ‘Die Hard’ Meets ‘Deus Ex’ In ‘Consortium: The Tower’ |
 |

A new video game Kickstarter campaign has been launched for a game described as Die Hard meets the original Deus Ex, and it looks the part. The game is titled Consortium: The Tower, and it’s a “fully standalone, single player, first-person sci-fi immersive simulation.” The game is set almost entirely in a massive skyscraper in futuristic London, and sees you (playing as you but controlling someone in a parallel world—trippy, right?) and a team of officers trying to stop terrorists who have invaded the skyscraper and save the hostages they’ve taken. It allows you to play however you choose, whether that be using blunt force, stealth, or simply words to talk your way through the situation. The choices you make throughout the game alter how your story plays out, meaning there’s plenty of replayability as you go back and try things differently with each playthrough. You can read much more about Consortium: The Tower and also see the Kickstarter campaign video and some gameplay preview videos below.

| Kickstarter Spotlight: Bring Back ‘MST3K’

Creator and host Joel Hodgson has set up the crowdfunding campaign, with hopes of bringing the series back from the dead. If all goes as hoped, there could be up to 12 new episodes coming in the future, and who knows, maybe more than that. You can read more about the campaign and watch the Kickstarter video for it below.

| Kickstarter Spotlight: ‘P.T.’ Spiritual Successor ‘Allison Road’ |
 |

Earlier this year we saw a prototype gameplay demo for a first-person survival horror game called Allison Road. The game was initially just a one-person project, but overwhelmingly positive response to the demo led to the creation of a small development team now officially called Lilith Ltd. A large part of this excitement for the game is born out of the excitement that gamers once had for a little playable demo called P.T., which turned out to be a new Silent Hill game being made by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro with The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus appearing in the game. Unfortunately things didn’t work out with that game, but it opened a large door for smaller games like Allison Road to step up and be what those who were so excited about that game were so looking forward to playing. Because the game and team making it are so small, they decided to take the crowdfunding route to achieving their goals, which makes all the sense in the world. You can read much more about the game and watch the Kickstarter campaign video below.

| Kickstarter Spotlight: ‘Our Friend Satan’ Graphic Novel By Dominik Marzec |
 |

Our Friend Satan. I’m not going to lie to you, I was full of preconceived notions based solely on the title alone. As it turns out, I was pretty close on the expectation of it being a parody of everything we are taught/told/whatever in our formative years. In this story, Satan is effectively just the CEO of Hell, and he’s pretty damned tired of it. Constantly getting a bad rap, he’s scapegoated at every turn by the Catholic Church (not necessarily the good guys in this tale). And while the world at large has seen him portrayed as a monster with huge horns and a pitchfork, he’s actually a balding older gentleman who spends his days in a bathrobe and slippers, drinking copious amounts of Cthulhu Vodka with his buddy, and chess partner, Beelzebub. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg with this comic! Hilarity abounds in the most infernal of ways, you’ll never know what’s coming until it’s too late. That’ll teach those silly kids to summon up the Prince of Darkness!
