| Kickstarter Spotlight: Skies Of Fire #1-3
It’s that time again, folks! I love to share these little crowdfunding campaigns with the public, especially those that involve comics! I’ve already covered the first two Kickstarters for this series, you can read them here and here, and I’m exceedingly pleased to bring your attention to this one: Skies of Fire #1-3. Self described as a dieselpunk airship story of loyalty and revenge, this one series I can get behind every time. You can read more about it and check out its Kickstarter video below.

| Kickstarter Spotlight: ‘Star,’ A Comic By Richard Clark |
 |

I first met Richard Clark back in 2009 at New York Comic Con, before I even began writing for Geeks of Doom. He had a table in Artist Alley, and I was introduced to him by a close friend. I remember the incredibly detailed, beautiful artwork Clark had on display, and equally as important, I remember his personable, engaging, and fun demeanor. At the time, it didn’t seem like he had any comic book series’ of his own for purchase, but rather a plethora of commission work and writing done for major comic publishing companies, HBO, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and other various institutional clients. Quite the resume! If this man had an ongoing comic at the time, I would have snatched up a copy immediately! Well, here we are in 2016, 7 years later, and Clark is now on Kickstarter launching what looks to be a very entertaining and thought-provoking 72-page trade paperback called Star, with some awesome rewards! With only 9 days left in the campaign and a little over $1k to go toward his $10k goal, I thought it would be a great idea to have a chat with Clark about the project’s past, present, and future. Check out the interview and video below.

| Kickstarter Spotlight: Classic Edition GM Screen
It may seem that tabletop role-playing games are almost a thing of the past, but the truth is that many folks like me are finding ourselves drawn back to the familiarity of paper and dice. Be it nostalgia or maybe even just wanting to pretend to be teens again, I have seen a resurgence for old school gaming amongst my friends. Once, it was often difficult to track down supplies such as dice, books, and assorted other accessories. Now, thanks to online shopping, that is not the case. However, finding applicable items can be difficult if you aren’t playing the newest editions. And that’s where this Kickstarter campaign for Classic Edition GM Screen comes in. Read on, if this seems like your cup of tea.

| Kickstarter Spotlight: ‘Tex Montana Will Survive’ — A Free Movie For All If Goal Is Met |
 |

Kickstarter and other crowdfunding options changed the game, offering an entirely new option for filmmakers, video game developers, comic book creators, and many others to bring their dream projects to life with money from those who are interested in the content instead of money from controlling bodies that might force creative changes. As the concept of crowdfunding continues to evolve, those who use it often find new and unique ways to take advantage of it. One example of this is Tex Montana Will Survive, the latest movie from the makers of the micro-budget zombie flick The Battery (read our review here). Unlike most crowdfunding projects, co-directors Jeremy Gardner (who also stars) and Christian Stella aren’t looking to Kickstarter to acquire the funds to go into production on their new movie. In fact, it’s already 100% made. Instead, they’re thinking outside the box and looking to release the movie to everyone who wants to watch it for free if the goal is met. Yes, you read that correctly. You can learn more about the intriguing campaign and watch both a trailer for the movie and the Kickstarter pitch video below.
