| Geek Peek: First Official ‘LEGO Batman’ Images Released
The first set of official images has been released for The LEGO Batman Movie, the spinoff to the animated hit The LEGO Movie. The movie follows the Dark Knight, once again voiced by Will Arnett, in his incredible hideout the Batcave, where he has pretty much any and everything he could want…except relationships. His only real relationship is with his butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes), that is until Dick Grayson (Robin, voiced by Michael Cera) and Barbara Gordon (Batgirl, voiced by Rosario Dawson) show up and change things. | ‘LEGO Batman’ Grabs Ralph Fiennes To Voice Alfred
The cast of The LEGO Movie spinoff LEGO Batman grows more and more impressive with the announcement that Ralph Fiennes has signed on to voice the role of Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler and adviser. The actor is the two-time Academy Award nominated star of Schindler’s List, the Harry Potter and James Bond franchises, The English Patient, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and many, many others. Fiennes joins a cast that includes Will Arnett once again taking on the Batman role he played in The LEGO Movie, Zach Galifianakis as Batman’s greatest rival Joker, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, and Michael Cera as the Boy Wonder, Robin.

| Zach Galifianakis To Play Joker In ‘LEGO Batman’
Warner Brothers has found their Joker for LEGO Batman, the upcoming animated spinoff of their 2015 hit The LEGO Movie. It’s being reported that Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) and The Hangover star Zach Galifianakis has been cast as the super villain. The character has previously been played by names like Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson in movies, and by Star Wars star Mark Hamill in numerous voice acting roles. Galifianakis joins a cast that already includes Will Arnett, once again playing the Batman role he played in The LEGO Movie, and Michael Cera, who was recently cast as the Boy Wonder, Robin.

| Michael Cera Joins ‘Lego Batman’ Voice Cast As Robin The Boy Wonder
It looks like Will Arnett wont be the only member of Arrested Development‘s chaotically dysfunctional Bluth family to be venturing into Warner Brothers’ cinematic Legoland as one of DC Comics’ most iconic superheros. Michael Cera, who played Arnett’s nephew George Michael Bluth on Arrested (and also starred in a few films you might have heard of, such as Superbad, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Juno, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, and so on), has signed on to the voice cast of the upcoming The Lego Batman Movie. He’ll be playing none other than the Dark Knight’s longtime faithful sidekick Robin, the Boy Wonder.

| Everything Is Darkness! ‘Lego Batman’ Movie Gets Green Light For 2017 Release
Released early in the year to terrific box office and overwhelmingly positive reviews, The Lego Movie was one of the funniest and most imaginative (and often subversive) animated features released by a major studio in years. Its success has spawned a Lego-based movie franchise, with Ninjago set to open in September 2016 and the recent revelation that Warner Bros. is fast-tracking a Lego Batman film based one of the first movie’s greatest assets for a release in 2017. Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will return as producers, with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter author Seth Grahame-Smith writing the script and Lego Movie animation supervisor Chris McKay directing the feature.
