If you’ve consumed every theatrical trailer, television spot, featurette, and every bit of viral marketing for Ridley Scott‘s upcoming sci-fi thriller Prometheus and you’re still chest-bursting with anticipation for more – then this one’s for you. The Prometheus (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is available for purchase on MP3 (the CD will be out on June 12) and it’s filled with potential spoilers. Since working as music supervisor on Scott’s 2005 film Kingdom Of Heaven, Marc Streitenfeld has scored all of his subsequent films including A Good Year, Body Of Lies, Robin Hood, American Gangster, and now Prometheus.

It’s being reported that yet another incredibly talented actor, Guy Pearce, has been cast in director Ridley Scott‘s upcoming movie, Prometheus, which is the currently filming prequel to his 1979 horror classic, Alien.

It’s unclear what role Pearce will be playing, but he joins a fantastic existing cast that includes Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds, X-Men: First Class), Noomi Rapace (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Charlize Theron (Monster, The Road), Idris Elba (The Losers, Thor), Sean Harris (24 Hour Party People, The Borgias), Kate Dickie (The Pillars of the Earth), Rafe Spall (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), and Logan Marshall-Green (Devil, Across the Universe).

The digital deal of the day over at Amazon today is the film Devil, directed by John Erick Dowdle, which is available for rental for only $.99. M. Night Shyamalan came up with the story for the film, which is to be the first part of a trilogy conceived by Shyamalan called The Night Chronicles.

This deal is valid only for today, Thursday, April 21, 2011, until midnight PST. Once you activate the rental through the Amazon Instant Video service, you’ll have access to the movie for 48 hours. If you’re interested in purchasing the digital version, the cost is $14.99.
