| ‘Wonderstruck’: Trailer For Adaptation Of Brian Selznick Book Released
A trailer has been released for Wonderstruck, an upcoming feature from Amazon Studios and Roadside Attractions based on author Brian Selznick‘s novel of the same name. Starring in the movie is Michelle Williams, Julianne Moore, Oakes Fegley, and Millicent Simmonds, with Academy Award nominee Todd Haynes (Carol, I’m Not There) directing. 20th Century Fox has released an official trailer for The Greatest Showman, which stars Hugh Jackman as P.T. Barnum. The movie is directed by Michael Gracey, who makes his directorial debut, and is described as a musical celebration of the birth of show business. | ‘Manchester By The Sea’ Trailer: Casey Affleck Comes To Grips With Emotional Family Drama
More and more smaller films are finding distribution on streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Studios. The latter was able to snatch up one of the year’s most anticipated films to come out of the Sundance Film Festival this year. Kenneth Lonergan‘s Manchester by the Sea stars Casey Affleck as the sudden legal guardian of his nephew (Lucas Hedges). Things get much more complicated when he makes the decision to come back home where the community he left behind and separated wife live. If you keep up with my reviews, you know that I wrote up a review of the last time I saw this movie, which happened to be in real IMAX 3D, and you can find that review here. A quick recap of the story, Oz (James Franco, This is the End), finds himself in the land of Oz, where he goes on a journey to prove himself, with some help from a few witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis, Family Guy), Evanora (Rachel Weisz, The Mummy), and of course we can’t forget about Glinda, (Michelle Williams, Dawson’s Creek), who I thought was one of the highlights as far as acting is concerned. And yes Dorothy, cause this is a Sam Raimi (Spider-Man Trilogy) film, be on the lookout for a familiar chin, Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead) has a cameo appearance.
