| ‘Les Miserables’ Star Eddie Redmayne Joins Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis In ‘Jupiter Ascending’
Eddie Redmayne, one of the many stars of the fast-approaching new film version of Les Miserables, is in talks to join the cast of Jupiter Ascending, the next movie from The Matrix trilogy and Cloud Atlas writers and directors, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski. Redmayne would join Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, who are both already on board the project. Details about the movie are very few at the moment. Tatum is playing a man named Django Wise, while Kunis is playing a Russian immigrant named Jupiter. It’s unclear who Redmayne would be playing.

Looking at the new trailer for Sam Raimi‘s Oz: The Great and Powerful, you’ll notice that the film will be rich in visual effects, very bright, and very colorful. A lot of that has to do with the fact that the producers of Alice in Wonderland were involved in the making of the film. It may look the same but there are a lot of different elements at play here, which may make the quality of the film better than Alice. So check out the newest trailer for Oz: The Great and Powerful. Unlike Alice, Raimi didn’t have to resort to collaborating with multiple go-to-guys to make up the cast like Tim Burton does – not that it’s a bad thing. James Franco plays the lead in the film that is full of magic, adventure, and humor. While it may visually look like Alice, are not getting Burton’s style pounding us over the head repeatedly. The only thing that worries me is if the script will actually hold up. Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsey-Abaire penned the screenplay.

| New Images From ‘Oz: The Great And Powerful’ Released
Sam Raimi will take audiences to the land of Oz once more with Oz: The Great and Powerful, the prequel to The Wizard of Oz. The film reunites Raimi with his Spider-Man trilogy star James Franco, who plays Oscar Diggs, a sideshow magician who lifts off in a hot air balloon with dreams of making it big only to get caught in a storm and crash land in the mystical other world. Earlier this year we saw a trailer and a panel for the film at Comic-Con. But before Disney can release a new trailer for the film, the studio has released a slew of new images that are sure to whet your Oz appetite. Check them out below.

| The Wicked Witch Makes An Appearance In New ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ Poster
A new poster has been released by Walt Disney for Oz: The Great and Powerful. This particular poster is of interest because it features none other than the Wicked Witch herself. The movie is based on the works of L. Frank Baum, looking at some of his characters’ origins. It’s directed by The Evil Dead and Spider-Man trilogy director Sam Raimi, and stars James Franco, Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Zach Braff. It hits theaters on March 8, 2013.
