A couple of months back we found out that former Mythbusters stars Kari Byron, Grant Imahara, and Tory Belleci would be reuniting for a new Netflix series titled White Rabbit Project. In the new series the trio will be diving deeper into various events from history, pop culture, and science through crazy experiments in search of answers. Put much more simply, they’re going to be doing what they do best.

Now Netflix has released the first trailer for the show, which comes from Mythbusters producer Beyond Productions, so eager fans can get a small taste of what it’s going to be like.

Fans of the long-running Discovery Channel series Mythbusters were understandably upset by the decision to continue without stars Kari Byron, Grant Imahara, and Tory Belleci, as well as the show’s eventual end not long after.

If you were desperately waiting for the inevitable new show featuring the Mythbusters crew, today is a good day for you. It’s being reported that Byron, Imahara, and Belleci are all set to reunite for a new Netflix series titled White Rabbit Project.

A special episode of Mythbusters is on the way, in which the team with tackle multiple tests inspired by the hit AMC original series, Breaking Bad.

Star Aaron Paul and show creator Vince Gilligan are expected to make an appearance in the episode, as well.

The first test, handled by Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, with determine whether the scene in season 1 of Breaking Bad in which Paul’s character ignores a warning from co-star Bryan Cranston’s character to use a plastic container to dissolve a body in hydrofluoric acid. He ignores the warning and instead uses a regular bath tub, which, of course, the acid eats through and eventually causes the tub to fall through the floor.

It’s been announced that Discovery Channel’s popular proven-by-science show, Mythbusters, will have itself an interesting special guest during an upcoming episode: President Barack Obama.

The White House has revealed that Obama has already filmed the segment, and that the episode he’s set to appear on will air on December 8, 2010. The President is taking part with the show in an effort to better promote math and science education in the United States.

And what will be up for busting on this special episode of Mythbusters? An old foe, of course. On two separate occasions, the team has attempted to prove whether or not Archimedes, a Greek scientist, was able to set fire to the ships of an Roman fleet that was attacking just by using a collection of mirrors and the sun’s rays. Twice now this is something that has been busted, but the show has laid down the challenge to anyone to prove otherwise. Perhaps someone has done just that and this will be their stage to show how.
