“Do you hear that? It’s the sound of battles fought and lives lost. It once pained me to know that I am the cause of such despair. But now their cries give me strength. Beauty is my power.” — Queen Ravenna In director Rupert Sanders‘ feature-film debut, Snow White and the Huntsman, the ruthless and beautiful (ruthlessly beautiful?) Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) has spilled blood and conquered countless kingdoms. For the Queen, beauty is power – and by that measure she is a Goddess, omnipotent and sovereign. There is another, however, destined to undo Ravenna’s tyrannical rule. The Magic Mirror (Chris Obi) foresees the Queen will be overthrown by her stepdaughter, Snow White (Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart), who will surpass her as “Fairest of Them All”. Luckily, destiny isn’t always set in stone. If Queen Ravenna can consume Snow White’s still-beating heart, she will achieve immortality and eternal beauty. She summons a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) to journey through the Dark Forest and capture her dear, dear Snow White.

| Edgar Wright’s ‘The World’s End’ Start & Release Dates, Synopsis Revealed |
 |

It’s the moment everyone has been waiting for, the confirmation that the Edgar Wright-directed comedy The World’s End, the final entry of the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, will begin production in September and that Universal will be releasing the film next Spring. But that’s not all. We also got a short synopsis here below for The World’s End, which completes the trilogy which began with Shaun Of The Dead, followed by Hot Fuzz. We’ve seen a photo of Wright and Pegg hard at work figuring out the story for The World’s End. Shaun of the Dead was a play on the zombie genre, while Hot Fuzz was a parody of the action/buddy-cop genre, but what is The World’s End a play on? Well going by the film title as well as grabbing a line from the plot description, “As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s,” it appears as that The World’s End is a play on the apocalyptic film genre.

| Edgar Wright & Simon Pegg Hint At ‘Shaun Of The Dead,’ ‘Hot Fuzz’ Follow-Up
It’s hard to put into words just how good Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are. Because of this, fans of the movies have been impatiently awaiting the arrival of the third movie in what’s often times called the “Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy.” The movies aren’t connected apart from the never-fail combination of director Edgar Wright and stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, as well as their very basic recipe: take a popular genre (horror, action, _____?), introduce generous slice of comedic fried gold, and run wild with it. Oh, right, and a sprinkle of blood and ice cream to enhance flavor, of course. While the movie isn’t officially underway yet, Wright and Pegg got together recently and snapped a photo to share on the Twitter that may just indicate brains are indeed storming. You can see the image below.
