| ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Featurette Shows A Different ‘Star Wars’ Universe Than We’re Used To
Later this Summer, Solo: A Star Wars Story will be the latest Star Wars film to hit theaters. Unlike the core saga, Solo is a spinoff that will focus on the titular character’s origins. Han Solo, made famous by Harrison Ford, will now be played by much younger Alden Ehrenreich. Joining him will be Donald Glover, who plays a younger version of the smooth Lando Calrissian. While we have seen a couple of trailers and TV spots for the new film, the latest featurette for Solo details what the spinoff will be about and this is a different universe than we’re used to. | ‘Smallfoot’ Trailer: A Yeti Encounters The Mythical Human In Warner Bros. Animated Feature
Warner Bros. has released an official trailer for Smallfoot, an animated feature about a yeti who encounters something that was previously thought to be myth: a human. The movie features the voices of Channing Tatum, James Corden, Zendaya, Common, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, Danny DeVito, Yara Shahidi, Ely Henry, and Jimmy Tatro. It’s directed by Karey Kirkpatrick, and executive producers include Nicholas Stoller, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller. | Han Solo Standalone Film Now Called ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’
These Star Wars spinoffs are a part of the larger universe and are meant to tell stories that aren’t about the core saga. We saw a little bit of that in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and we will see that once more in the Han Solo standalone film, which has been going by that non-title since the beginning of production and well after Ron Howard came in to direct the film. But now the film has got an official title. So prepare yourselves, because come May 2018, we will see Solo: A Star Wars Story. More on the this below.

| Former Han Solo ‘Star Wars’ Spinoff Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller Set To Direct ‘Artemis’
After being relieved of their duties directing the untitled Star Wars spinoff centered on a young Han Solo, Phil Lord and Chris Miller have found their next project. The duo has signed on to direct Artemis, which is based on the book of the same name by The Martian author Andy Weir and is described as an “adrenaline-charged crime caper that features smart, detailed world-building based on real science.” It follows your average twenty-something struggling to get by, only this particular twenty-something happens to live in the one and only city on our moon, and an opportunity to greatly improve her situation has presented itself.
