Air date: Sunday, June 25th, 2017, 9pm Finally! Preacher returns to AMC for Season 2 and Preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Ruth Negga), and Irish vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) are, as the title suggest, “on the road.” Last season, Jesse was possessed by Genesis, an all powerful half-godly/half-demonic force. It’s so powerful that angels from Heaven came looking for him and it, and they’re hilariously unsuccessful at retrieving it. Jesse feeling revitalized by the power of Genesis tries to save his small Texas town of Annville and bring them the voice of God himself, except for one problem: God is missing. Annville finds this out full force when a methane gas explosion wipes out everyone in the town except for three who happen to be eating at a roadside diner on the outskirt of town”¦ you guessed who. The search for God begins”¦ NOW.

| Check Out A ‘Preacher’ Season 2 Sneak Peak & Featurette! (Videos) |
 |

Preacher was one of my favorite new shows in 2016, and this Sunday, summer gets started with the second season premiere. Based on the graphic novels by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon and created for television by Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Preacher tells the story of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a small town preacher from Annville, Texas. Jesse has a dark past he’s trying to leave behind, and that becomes harder when a trio of factors interfere in his life simultaneously. His ex-lover and partner Tulip (Ruth Negga) returns to get him back. A crazy drunken Irish vampire, Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), ends up in his town and becomes his best friend. Oh yeah, and he’s possessed by Genesis, a powerful force that is bred from an angel and demon getting it on. These things plus renegade angels, loads of cops, and the Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish), a literal cowboy from Hell, are what stand in Jesse’s way as we enter season 2. Watch the videos below.

| Check Out The ‘Preacher’ Season 2 Sneak Peak!
At the end of season 1 of AMC’s hit series Preacher, the sign outside the Annville, Texas church read “Today: Meet God, Tomorrow: TBD.” Well, the “to be determined” part was incredibly accurate… Annville blew up… ALL OF IT! Luckily, that was behind the dust of the car carrying the trio of Preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Oscar nominee Ruth Negga), and drunk Irish vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun). They are on the search for God… no literally, God is missing. Jesse is possessed by Genesis, a half demon half angel force that allows him to control anyone. Oh and yeah, there’s a cowboy from Hell chasing him. Ok, I think we’re caught up. Check out the trailer video below.

| NYCC 2016 Interview: Graham McTavish Talks ‘Preacher’s Killer Of Saints
At New York Comic-Con Saturday afternoon, I had the pleasure of shooting the breeze with veteran actor Graham McTavish. The Scottish actor has over 100 IMDb credits including film, TV, and voiceover work in both animation and video games. He was in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit film trilogy (as the dwarf Dwalin), and had been a regular on both Prison Break and 24. Currently, he can be seen on the hit Starz series Outlander where he plays Dougal MacKenzie, as well as on AMC’s Preacher as The Cowboy/The Killer Of Saints. Between my wife’s obsession with Outlander and my love of Preacher, Graham McTavish is a popular man in our home.
