Predator Pokémon GO

Perhaps you’ve heard of a mobile game called Pokémon GO. It’s that thing that every single person you know was talking about this past summer.

The game is so popular, in fact, that even one of the alien hunters from the Predator movies is getting in on the action. The Predator, however, goes a little overboard with their gaming session. They take their hunting quite seriously, you know.

You can check out the video of how this Pokémon GO session went below.

Boyd Holbrook In Talks For New Predator Movie

Just one month ago it was reported that Benicio Del Toro was in talks to lead the cast of The Predator. One of the notes on the Del Toro talks was that he and Twentieth Century Fox had gone back and forth for a while before it was announced, and that his busy schedule was a major problem to solve in making the casting possible. Now, as it turns out, Del Toro is no longer in talks for the movie. A reason for this has not yet been given, but it’s safe to assume that the very same scheduling complications are at least partly responsible.

Despite the speed bump, Fox has decided not to delay the project, instead immediately going after someone new to star. It’s now being reported that Boyd Holbrook, star of Netflix’s Narcos and a villain in the next Wolverine movie Logan, has entered into negotiations to replace Del Toro in The Predator.

At this year’s CinemaCon, writer-director Shane Black (Iron Man 3, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) was briefly interviewed by Collider’s Steven Weinraub about the status of The Predator, a big-budget sequel/reboot/something or other in 20th Century Fox’s sci-fi action franchise that he is co-writing with Fred Dekker, the esteemed writer and director of the cult classics Night of the Creeps and The Monster Squad (the latter also sports a co-writing credit from Black).

According to Black, The Predator will be his next film, once again putting his long-in-development Doc Savage feature on the back burner.

Predator Image

We found out about a new Predator movie almost two years ago now, a movie that was described as an “inventive sequel” by star of the original and director of this latest entry in the franchise Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Iron Man 3).

Not much has been heard of this inventive sequel since then, but it is still alive and well, and it appears that we will be hearing about and seeing more of it very soon. A new teaser image has been released that appears to confirm the title of the movie and offers a little message. You can see the image below.

Predator: Dark Ages Logo

On the day I introduce my 11-year-old son to the original Arnold Schwarzenegger classic Predator, I find out about a Kickstarter campaign that financed the “best possible Predator short film, with the production of a Hollywood Blockbuster.” The fan-fiction film, Predator: Dark Ages, pits the title alien hunter against the… Knights Templar? The short film is a prequel/sequel to John McTiernan’s original 1987 sci-action classic starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. There have been two feature-length sequels as well as two crossovers with the Alien franchise.

Check out the videos here below which a recently release trailer, as well as videos with director James Bushe and director of photography Simon Rowling discussing their movie and Kickstarter campaign.

Wow, those Predators really get around. We know from the films that they treat our world like their own personal hunting lease. We’ve seen them fight virtually everything under the sun from Batman to Aliens to Tarzan, but nothing could have prepared us for Archie Vs. Predator #1! I saw this one in the lists and just knew I had to read it. And I bet you’re curious, too!

The setting is Riverdale as our buddy Archie and his pals debate on what to do on their Spring Break. Thanks to a miraculous windfall of Jughead’s, the group gets a free trip to a beach resort. The odd ducks out here are Cheryl and Jason, who seem bent on making life difficult for the teens.
