| ‘Fantasy Island’ Trailer: What The Hell Is This Place
Fantasy Island had a premise where a few of your favorite things can become a reality. Whatever vices you had could finally be indulged at a secluded paradise hideaway. Of course, having those fantasies does come at a price. It made for a very popular TV show that ran for seven seasons in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Now, Blumhouse has taken that show and given it a cinematic revival, along with a few of its signature touches and added twists. An official trailer for this new Fantasy Island has been released by Sony Pictures, and you can check it out below.

Partially Funded by Kickstarter It’s been a long time coming, but my fellow marshmallows and I have finally gotten that Veronica Mars movie we have wanted, ever since the television series got cancelled. And if you are even familiar with Kickstarter, perhaps this was the reason you heard about, it wouldn’t have happened without all the fans who donated their money to make this happen. The project broke numerous records as they pulled their forces (91,585 people) and raised $5,702,153. It started off as a small project, but word quickly spread and the rest is history, leading to this day, when we can walk into a theater and see Veronica Mars on the big screen. As of now, it is showing in limited theaters, for me, my local AMC theaters, but I know it’s expanding into another theater in a few weeks. I am guessing how many more will depend on how well the movie does at the box office. According to Box Office Mojo, it earned just over a million on late Thursday and Friday screenings. But was it worth the wait? Was it worth my donation? Let’s talk about that more later.

| Megan Mullally Confirms ‘Party Down’ Movie
One of the many TV shows that have been canceled far too early and that fans have been fighting to see revived is the Starz comedy Party Down. The hilarious show starred Ken Marino, Adam Scott, Lizzy Caplan, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Jane Lynch—who was then replaced by Megan Mullally after landing the role on Glee—as the employees of a catering company. It was also known for an endless supply of brilliant cameo performances from actors like J.K. Simmons, George Takei, and of course, Steve Guttenberg. While doing a panel for the new Fox comedy Breaking In, Mullally spoke about the show. And while a full revival still isn’t the cards, it does appear that a Party Down movie is in fact happening.
