| ‘Fantasy Island’ Trailer: What The Hell Is This Place
Fantasy Island had a premise where a few of your favorite things can become a reality. Whatever vices you had could finally be indulged at a secluded paradise hideaway. Of course, having those fantasies does come at a price. It made for a very popular TV show that ran for seven seasons in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Now, Blumhouse has taken that show and given it a cinematic revival, along with a few of its signature touches and added twists. An official trailer for this new Fantasy Island has been released by Sony Pictures, and you can check it out below.

| Dave Bautista To Join Blumhouse’s ‘Fantasy Island’ Big-Screen Adaptation
Fantasy Island can be considered as an early inspiration for shows like LOST and Westworld. The 1970s ABC TV show featured an enigmatic man (played by Ricardo Montalbán) who oversaw an island where anyone’s dreams can come true. However, these dreams can come at a huge price. And for some visitors, these dreams could turn into full-on nightmares. Blumhouse will bring that same horror-like vibe to a new iteration to the big screen, which will star Michael Pena and Jimmy O. Yang. Now, they’ve just cast their newest start. New reports says Guardians Of The Galaxy star Dave Bautista is in talks to have a role in the film. More on the story below.

| Movie Review: Truth Or Dare |

Truth Or Dare
Director: Jeff Wadlow
Screenwriter: Michael Reisz, Jillian Jacobs, Chris Roach, and Jeff Wadlow
Cast: Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey, Violett Beane, Hayden Szeto, Landon Liboiron
Distributor: Blumhouse | Universal Pictures
Release Date: April 13, 2018 The concept of adapting a harmless game into a film is nothing new. In fact, it has been done many times before, though its success can be met with varying degrees. That being said, we have reached a new level of low now that we are going for schoolyard games. Blumhouse’s Truth Or Dare tries to mirror the same success of Ouija using the production house’s low-budget formula. And try as the film might, it never reaches those same levels of fright. It desperately tries to scare its audience with the thought of this game haunting us that through its bad dialogue it becomes an unintentional comedy. Not really sure if that is what director Jeff Wadlow intended. But the film lands in between that gray area of its so good that it’s bad but at the same time it’s just flat-out bad. My full review here below.
