| Check Out Jill Thompson’s Concept Art For Neil Gaiman’s ‘Sandman’ Movie Pitch
Neil Gaiman‘s Sandman comic book series is, much like Watchman, considered to be one of those “unfilmable” properties, which might explain why we haven’t seen a big screen adaptation of it. While fans tend to agree that the propriety might be better off on the small screen, which Geoff Johns said was still happening as of a year ago, there was a time when Gaiman pitched a Sandman movie to Warner Bros. Part of that pitch included concept art provided by Jill Thompson, whose previously worked on the comic book as well as many other series like Wonder Woman, The Invisibles, and Fables. Thompson recently put up for sale 27 pieces of Sandman movie concept art. Check them out here below.

| SDCC 2012: Neil Gaiman Returns To ‘The Sandman’ With New Mini-Series
Well this sure is interesting. It was announced at the DC Comics/Vertigo Comic-Con panel on Thursday that legendary creator Neil Gaiman is returning to the comic book series that made him a household name, The Sandman, and he’s bringing J.H. Williams III along with him. As of now, as is the case with most San Diego Comic-Con related news, there’s not a lot to report, but the comic is labeled as a mini-series from the series’ creator, Gaiman, and Williams, the current main creative force behind Batwoman, as the artist. Continue reading for a quote from Gaiman, a video of the announcement from the man himself, and some preview art that was shown off in San Diego.

| Vertigo Gets Own Digital App; Kicks Things Off With 99 Cent Sale Of Neil Gaiman’s ‘Sandman’ Vertigo Comics announced Wednesday that they’d be kicking off their brand new digital comics app with a 99 cent sale on all Sandman comics.

New comics like Fairest, Saucer County, Domique Laveau: Voodoo Child and The New Deadwardians will all be going day and date digital, while established books like The Invisibles, American Vampire, The Unwritten, Fables and many, many more will also be making their way to the Vertigo-only app. Which is pretty cool.

| ‘The Sandman’s’ Death By J. Scott Campbell
J. Scott Campbell is one of my favorite artists who’s worked on one of my favorite comic books, Danger Girl. But, my favorite comic book series of all time (which you have heard and will continue to hear me say) is Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman. One of the characters introduced in The Sandman is Death, sister to the Sandman himself, Morpheus. Campbell recently tweeted to Gaiman a link to his DeviantArt page of his rendition of Death, and it’s a real beauty. Check it out here above.
