Eric Cartman

If someone were to ask you right this very moment that if you could choose any one song in the whole, wide world to have added to your dearest Rock Band, what would you choose? For those of you who said “I would want Lady Gaga‘s “Poker Face” as performed by Eric Cartman on Comedy Central‘s South Park,” then boy, oh boy do I have a little treat for you!

Rock Band has officially announced that along with some actual Lady Gaga songs, they will also be adding Cartman’s beautiful rendition on the tune. The character, who of course is part of Matt Stone and Trey Parker‘s vulgar animated South Park world, sang the song on Rock Band with Kenny and Kyle in the episode “Whale Whores.”

After your own night of karaoke, drunkenly stumble your way to the bottom of this post to watch Cartman get lyrical all up on ya’ll.

Battlestar Galactica Last Supper

Recently we shared a couple of new images from ABC’s Lost that showed the cast replicating Leonardo da Vinci‘s famed “The Last Supper” painting. This along with shows like Battlestar Galactica (seen above) and House have made it quite apparent that this was a popular thing to do whilst promoting your show. As it turns out, this happens all the time, and Jeremy from Culture Popped was able to point us to a ton of them to check out.

Among the many variations you will find many popular TV shows and movies and brand name characters. Titles like The Simpsons, Star Wars, M.A.S.H., South Park, and The Sopranos appear along with Walt Disney characters and brand characters from McDonalds and everything in between, all showing off their very own “Last Supper” renditions. Some are very well-done and worth seeing while others are basic and passable.

Click on over to the other side to check out a few of our favorite “Last Supper” parodies, and be sure to head over to Culture Popped where you can see an insane amount of these images all in one convenient location.

‘South Park’ Spoofs ‘Watchmen’ & ‘The Dark Knight’

Who is Mysterion?

In case you missed it, last night’s South Park was pretty hilarious.

They started off by spoofing a bit of Watchmen, then they moved into The Dark Knight spoofing before the re-emergence of the ultra-dangerous villain — Professor Chaos. It’s been a little while since we’ve seen South Park this good, but superhero spoofing mixed with that harsh and patented South Park humor, as well as their always interesting racial silliness… how could it possibly go wrong?

The best part about this episode may have been trying to figure out just WHO Mysterion is. You know it’s a freakin’ cartoon. You know what’s coming. But you just can’t help deducing away and trying to unmask the child hero. Maybe I was the only pathetic soul doing this, but I highly, highly doubt it. I personally had big money on it being either Jimmy, or Mr. Garrison.

If you were one of the unfortunate that missed out, you can always watch episodes in-full online, so we’ve decided to provide the video.

Geeks Gettin’ Lucky? SoulGeek: A Dating Site For Geek Girls & Guys

Soul GeekValentine’s Day as a geek can typically be described in one of the following ways: 1) A second Christmas in which both people get a present that can only be found inside the pages of a Previews catalog or 2) A somewhat to extremely lonely night of rereading Twilight* for the umpteenth time.

SoulGeek aims to eliminate fanboy (or fangirl) loneliness by offering a dating site specifically tailored for geeks, according to founder Dino Andrade, who started the network after discovering how difficult it was to meet people in his own experiences.

As a seasoned voice actor of many cartoons and video games, it was only natural that Andrade would fall in love with Mary Kay Bergman, famously known for creating and performing all the original female roles on South Park (including the Blame Canada song!!). When she tragically passed away in November of 1999, the two had been married for over a decade.

It took years to recover from the loss, but eventually he decided to get back on the saddle, according to Andrade, who said the most difficult part about it was being a geek.

TwilightI couldn’t imagine how South Park could possibly top last week’s genius take on the High School Musical craze, but it looks like they’ll try again this week. Tomorrow night’s episode will take a swing at another recent phenomenon — Twilight, the best-selling teen vampire novel by Stephenie Meyer, the movie adaptation of which comes out this Friday.

In the new episode, “The Ungroundable,” the Goth kids at South Park Elementary face powerful rivals. Butters is sure he’s seen a vampire at school, but he can’t get anyone to listen to him. Meanwhile, the Goth kids are angry and frustrated when the other kids can’t tell the difference between a Goth and a Vampire.

The episode, airing at 10pm, marks this season’s finale. You can watch a clip from it here below.
